E7 is a fantastic anime for the reason you cited: it's layered very deeply and has many themes from the small and personal to the global. Upon hearing the song, I knew it was the right one to capture the intense themes of war, oppression, and rebellion. Those who think they're simply watching another mecha anime are really missing out when it comes to E7.

@xXBethieChaosxX Yep. I'm totally with you on that one. It's hard to describe just how complex the series is. Same thing with Noein. If you liked the complexity of E7, try Noein. It /seems/ like an ordinary kiddie anime until you get to some very heavy duty philosophical and metaphysical realities. It just takes a while to sneak up on you how based in science and metaphysics Noein really is. (I suggest brushing up on quantum physics first.)
