Totally agree with uploader. I have 25 Mbps and sometimes its pain to stream videos in 720p. Im using wifi yes, why in hell would i use Ethernet cable on my laptop ? Who does that? Its 2012 not 90s
I'm never going back to telus, at least shaw gives deals and whatnot plus they give out free months like candy if you complain. Plus tech support is free. it's not ALL bad. also how long did these problems persist? Is it still like that or did you switch ISP's since?
My speeds are AMAZING! As for the caps they never charged anyone for it instead they held town hall sessions and came up with faster Internet and raised the caps. Your apple just got bigger for no more cost! Did you ever figure it out??
you are incompatible maybe if you restart everything you will have speeds of stellar reach.. sit a bit closer to the transmitter I also understand you have everything connected at once... Before you blame them have a look at your internal troubles

Shaw has just implemented USAGE BASED BILLING - So they can now charge you by the byte, in addition to your flat monthly fee!
THEY LOWERED OUR CAPS BY 30% WITHOUT TELLING CUSTOMERS
Now, every web-page you visit, every email you send, and every Youtube video you watch, will cost you EXTRA. Especially since they quietly reduced our caps.
It costs them ONE PENNY per GB to send data to you, but they are charging $2 PER GB!
@WilliamKayy If you think about it, you paid $37/mth for a product. If that product's property changes, it's no longer the same. You're paying a smaller apple for the same price. The fact that they didn't notify everyone of the new cap penalties to me feels underhanded.
Telus does the same thing for me. It has these times where it loves to be an asshole and give me an invalid IP address, disconnect me randomly, drop my connection strength or refuse to reconnect to a network I was just on. My friend is on Shaw and when we sometimes play games online together. I remember one time I was getting disconnected every 3 minutes and he wasn't being disconnected at all. Another time, I saw his download speed on Firefox was 1MB/s while mine is, at most, 300Kb/s. Go Shaw!
let me guess ...you moved your inet to another room or you went to radioshack and bought splitters for more tvs in your house.Learn a little about the signal before posting this stuff... either that or your computer is a piece of junk ...which is another thing NOBODY wants to admit
@tizzle1791 You guess / assume incorrectly. No move, brand new computer. I've made my living online since 1998... very well know the difference between hi-speed and slow as molasses.

There's time where the internet is fast and other times where it so slow.

They say patience is a virtue but this is like waiting for slow death!
Is it worth waiting for?
Good luck, Ros
