Just google it, and you'll find some info on wikipedia. Get yourself a colour wheel, and learn about, complimentary, split complimentary, tinting and shading. just wikipedia it :) you'll learn all you need to know.
i checked back a few comments and didn't see this already asked. i was wondering what the white thing is you're using to mount the mini on?
i use extra paints pots but that seems to be a bit larger and have a bit more heft to it. it seems to me like that would make my hands steadier.
great videos! they've helped me so much. it's so, so incredibly helpful to see exactly how these effects are built up very slowly over the course of several sessions!
I think i talk about it in another video, but i just use old pill bottles... :P the huge tops are great for bases, as the indent is the exact same size as a base. Thanks for the kind words! I try my best to help out!
ah, no, i don't cover the whole area, i just cover where i want to put the shadows. Check out my latest video and i explain this technique a little more! Thanks! :)
I'm just getting into this hobby and this video was a HUGE help! I immediately saw so many things I was doing wrong. Thanks for the help! ...and the narration really helps. It's good to hear you explain what you are doing.
@Metalgear195 no, drybrushing is totally different. drybrushing is where you put un diluted paint on your brush, then brush most of it off onto some paper towel or something else (except for the figure!) so only about 10 % of the paint is left. then you brush that onto some of the figure where you want the edges to be highlighted. hope i have helped (:
I have to say it again - great job! I like the fact that you show the preparing of certain kinds of paint dilutes, and the idea with a paper tower - nice :).
You asked about our interests for you to show - mine are all kinds of blending, wet painting, painting with metalics...

How do you know what colors to tint with? It looked like you used purple for a red base. Why? What colors look natural to what?

@Ydouneed2nomyname it's all about colour theory :)

Great vid - I'm not sure if I missed it or not, but what was the undercoat on the cape? Was it completely Blood Red (or equivalent)?

This isn't what some people might also refer to as "dry brushing" is it?
