@newj34 every book after acts tells you how to stay saved. There is initial salvation, progressive salvation and ultimate salvation throughout scripture. Initial happens when you have an experience like the apostles had on the day of Pentecost and repent get baptized in Jesus name and receive the Holy Ghost. Progressive salvation deals with your walk with God and being Holy scripture says without holiness no man shall see the lord. And ultimate salvation is when we get to heaven.

@newj34 you need to read the mark 16:16 he that believes and is baptized shall be saved, you must look across all scripture truth is the great commissions given by Jesus in Matthew Mark Luke and John all tell the same story as the book of acts! Acts 2:38 is Just repeating what each of those commissions are saying.

No right but in the book of revelation it says that the mark of the beast is 666 and with it you can buy or sell and the mark would be in either in ur forehead or right hand but u wouldve known that if u read the bible. @SharedViewsNews Jesus is the word of God and he is spirit. The bible was given by the first beast (constantine) He put Holy ghost men back in the law. Then King James born 6, 1566, 6th out of the house of Stewart, authorized those 66 books and called it the word of God. THE BIBLE IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST! It causes nothing but divided religion, Holy ghost filled men are hated of the world and are in one mind and one accord. Jesus is the word of God. These guys have taken the mark of the beast!

@heisraeltome Jesus didn't come to give us bibles and a bunch of different religions that don't agree with not only eachother, but with their same religion! He came and died to give us His wonderfuly sweet spirit! No book man or church will get you to heaven. If you rely on your book and search the scriptures... you have no chance and you are lost. Jesus is in the spirit. SEARCH the SPIRIT. You may find God. You have to be called drawn chosen and filled in order to be His child.

So what does it mean to do something in the name of Jesus?

Colossians 3:17 say to do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. I can think of a simliar illistration to this today. You know when ever the polic come to someones door and yell open up in the name of law. It is clear to see that what they are saying there is to open becasue of the authority they have from the law to make you open up. So to do all things in the name of Jesus would be like doing everything by His authority right?

My favorite part about the whole video is that there seems to be a debate about opinions and neither one went to scripture..... I don't know how I am suppose to know anything this man said was right or the baptist cause I didn't get one scripture. How am I suppose to go study this topic if I cant even get a scripture to start with. PLease Mr. Preacher give me a scripture to study. Back yourself up. For all I know you could have been lieing. @paden98 ..in the "name" (singular) of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost - and that name is Jesus, This is why the Apostles baptized in Jesus name in the book of Acts. Jesus fully reveals God in His redemptive work, Col. 2:9 for in him dwells all the fullness of the godhead bodily, this means the Father, the Holy Spirit indwelleth Jesus human body. Jesus said he came in His Father's name, to make it more clear; He came bearing his Father's name just like your children bear your name. John 5:43

@matrxmax Hey thanks for giving me some scriptures to go study I apreciate that. I guess the man here is argueing about being baptized in Jesus name only? I don't realy understand the argument here though cause I mean in the great commision Jesus told the apostles to go preach the gospel and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If you believe all three to be one in the same with distinctive parts what does it matter about being baptized in Jesus name only?

@paden981 I think you may be missing the point. That being, we are to do what Jesus said and that is to baptize believers in His name, not merely repeat what He said. Father is not a name, Son is not a name, Holy Spirit is not a name in the same manners that Country, State, City do not constitute names of places, this is what this mam of God is saying. Mark's 16:16 account of the Great Commission makes it more clear; we are to do everything pertaining to faith in His name.

@paden981 paden my friend ive seen this brother preach at a church where i used to b a member and ive never seen a man or woman who knows the bible better than he... he is nicknamed the walking bible he can quote any sciptur from the bible in fact he calls out three or four and preach without picking up the book maybe he did give references but this is only a snippet of entire clip peace in the name above evry name and thats Jesus Phillipians ch.2:11

@heisraeltome I have seen and met several men who can quote just about every verse in the Bible as well. Does this mean that every person who can do this is right? You can put 2 of the smartest men in a room and they are not guranteed to agree. I do not find from my study that this man is correct on the subject of baptism. I would be glad to discuss this more if you would like.

@paden981 Jesus said "By the word of two or more witnesses" whcih is also a jewish law which means(this is an example) if you kill someone but get two or more people to say you didnt in court, you were innocent. The New Testament only uses the water baptism of the name of Jesus, several times. No one was ever baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
