  • subscribed! b/c you have the exact same as me lol i thought i was the only one but love your channel !

  • OMG!!! Finally after watching a million videos, this is the closest to my hair. My hair is opposite of yours. I have beautiful loose curls in the back, in the middle NOTHING, and in the front like 4A! NOW my issue is it looks like as my hair is growing Im losing curls WTF! This journey SUCKS** LOL

  • I mudt be a 4b beacuse I have more texture, but I still have a define s curl pattern.

  • Thank God I am not the only person with this type of hair!!!! I have the same textures in the same areas of my hair....the whole front doesn't really curl thing.. ...oh yes! I am also mixed races (Black, white and Indian) and thought that I was really screwed when it came to my hair because I had yet to see someone else on youtube with the same hair textures and dryness situations. You really don't know how relieved I am. Thanks A MILLION!!!!

  • you look like lauren london meets eva marcila very pretty :)

  • Yup, Ms. Ariella.. the curls don't fully form 'til the relaxer is completely out. Your is completely beautiful now.

  • Forget that question

  • Are you from ny?

  • My hair use to do that until I tried shea moisture's moisture retention shampoo

  • yur hair is like my natural hair going on 5 months

  • I dont want to rush your process, but i think your natural hair is awesome and i think if you cut off the relaxed ends your hair would look so much nicer. Hope you get to where you are comfortable soon, but I think you can soooo cut the ends off and ur hair would look really nice

  • that's is so crazy. your hair is like mine!! lol. most people say their hair is most kinky in the back. but i actually have really soft curls around my head but it is really kinky in the middle. i thought that was interesting. i thought i was the only one! lol

  • @midnightbaby1989 thats exacly how mines is too :) !

  • your voice!!

    you should do slam poetry..lol

    I love it

    =D

  • My hair in the middle of my head does the same thing!!! I hate it. I'm new to the transitioning; I'll be 2 months post relaxer on the 23rd of this month...Im nervous bc I hesitate about losing my length...what do you recommend?

  • Hi Sis, I'm wondering if the dye that you're using is somewhat relaxing the curl pattern in your hair. Maybe you might want to try Queen Helen brown protein gel. It freezes my curl. Oh yeah, no need to hold on to those strings. You're way cute.

  • I agree with Lashanta 14 we have the same hair texture. I'm not natural but that's how my hair looks when NG starts to show. And the color that you have your hair is my natural color with natural highlights. I agree with you...you are a 4B. I commend you for going natural...I don't believe or see me going natural.

  • Ms. Lady you're my hair twin for sure. I mean my hair is exactly like that. I havent bc'd yet but when I do I dont know how im going to manage the two textures. Do you have to manipulate the wavy hair by twisting it or braiding it to get it to blend in with the kinkier hair?

  • @lashanta14 lol yea i haven't even done a wash n go

  • Our heads have the same hair textures in thew exact same spots ! Its crazy my wavy stuff doesnt blend with the front or back ! lol

  • How have you been styling you hair? Do you blow dry with a diffuser or air dry? :o]

  • @rinathomas09 i leave it out for the most part, i'll do a video on my styles, and i use a diffuser

  • My hair is really like yours. I'm half Nigerian and Italian/Native American. I still have my relaxed ends and my hair is past my shoulders. Do you have ANY idea of how I can style it? I am into maybe 6 months of transitioning and I need a style for school that I can do with my curls and straight ends.

I was thinking of curling gel or something, but I hate the tangles it makes when you wash it.

    HELP!

(I love your videos and your a great inspiration)

  • @gymnasticgirl60 thank u :) umm i just cut my hair so i've been playing around with it, once i master some things i'll put up some styles

  • Hello MsAriella89, you are transitioning nicely but also try getting your hair in some two strand twists for about a week or two and then wear in some nice twist outs.

  • @BlessedWoman7 yea i've only tried them over night, i'll have to try keeping them in longer

  • Hey MsAriella89, question: Why do you call it a BC when you still have relaxed ends connected to your natural hair. I thought a BC is when you cut off all of the relaxed ends. So now I am confused! lol Anyway, I think you will see more of your texture once you cut off all of your relaxed ends. Your hair looks like mine and I'm 4 mths in my transitioning stage:). Congrats on your first step though.

  • @kristenjdec lolol yea i understand your confusion, traditionally it is when u cut off all your relaxed ends and that was initially my intention, but my cousin was smart and cut a style instead, leaving some of the relaxed ends so that it's a bob, but more than 80% of my head is completely natural, i literally have strands of straight hair, so i still call it my bc, plus i've NEVER cut my hair in my life, only trims, so it was a big enough deal for me to call it my bc and thanks so much =)

  • I cant tell what ur curl pattern is but you know it really doesnt matter what curl pattern i can tell your hair is healthy and THATs all that really matters

  • i think you may be my "hair twin" lol

  • @lukattheface lol been gettin that a lot recently

  • my hair is like EXACTLY the same.. its kinda loose in the middle and little coils around the edges.. but its still a lil on the dry side.. i think imma put a video up about it i still havemt bc'd but i cut some of the perm off the edges out of curiousity

  • You are almost there! Once you clip the straight ends off, you will be pleasantly surprised. Congrats on your journey!

  • It took me a few weeks to see my real pattern, but 4a/3c seems about right for you. However, once all the straight ends are gone, your curls will start to clump better! Give it time!

  • i think it probably isn't doing too much bc you still have some relaxed ends and you just BC-ed...maybe give it some time :)

  • hi i just wanted to know do you go to a HBCU?

  • @YounggoNat na i go to rutgers, i originally wanted to go to hampton but the out of state tuition is crazy

  • What do you do with your hair after you wash it?

  • @EkchoWil recently either my signature coil out or the two strand twist out but i haven't mastered that yet, i need better products

  • @MsAriella89 I don't have the best products either. I do use some Carol's daughter but I try not to use a lot lol. I'm recently doing a braid outs. I was using heat on my natural hair once every 2 weeks. Now my hair has grown out that I'm comfortable wearing my natural out but I have kinky hair. I have to blow dry, cornrow, take the braids out and let my soul glow. Thanks for responding a lot of people don't respond back. :)

  • @EkchoWil no problem, i pretty much always respond to questions, but Carol's daughter products are good right?

  • @MsAriella89 It's good products, I just can't afford them all the time but it's good. I didn't like the hair milk but I used the bottle till it was gone and it still didn't make we want to buy more but I did buy more Mimosa Hair Honey.. I like that one a lot.. I need to make a video about my hair, I can probably do a picture video.

  • @MsAriella89 Just chiming in I'm still transitioning but I've tried the Carol's daughter products and they are ok but not the best for and a little over priced. If you have a target nearby try the Shea Moisture line is one of the best one I tried so far, my hair is 80% natural.

  • @MsMorenazaa thanks mama i def will, i just bought the cantu shea butter grow stong strengthening treatment and its working pretty well so i'm open to any products with shea in it

  • @EkchoWil and lmao at let your soul glow!

  • I love ur hair.. I agree with you about the "kitchen" part being really natural..while the front part of my hair is like totally wack..it will not curl like the back..or the sides.. it's just bend..like a wavy/.stright hair..and I got all my perm trimmed off back in Feb/Mar.. so it was even..(just had perm in dat front half) Good luck

  • @Lovelyladybug12ify lol doesn't it suck? i'm sure the relaxed ends are playing a part, and i'll be patient and wait for it to get used to it's natural state like everyone says, still way better than relaxed hair ;)

  • I love your tight curls....Doesnt it feel good to be Natural...Congrats

  • You may want to give it a while to adjust to it newly natural state... during the first few months your texture will change, nothing drastic but it will start to behave after becoming adjusted to the natural-ness. btw your hair is beautiful, i love your color and everything.

  • Wow my hair is exactly like this! Extremely curly at the back and loose at the top.

  • My hair is the same way.. Going from relaxed to natural you'd think ur hair would look the same all the way through as it did when you were relaxed, but there's plenty of naturals who say their hair is different textures. Mine is like a 3b and really fine all the way around the crown and like a 4a/b in the middle but in the center it never holds curls or anything it is kinda frustrating. BUT what you could do is a lot of braidouts/twistouts with some kind of curl definer to make it consistent

  • i record with a digital camera the new canon ones they have, both of my web cams are crap once they convert it just messes up anyway just thought i would put that out there if you wanted to try.

  • @luvlybrit yea i'm getting a new digital camera next month, i might just use that instead

  • the logitech 9000 has worked great for me on skype and other sites i stream live from. i recorded a few vids of myself and they dont have the probs u describe. it also has great reviews....5 stars on amazon.com and skype.com. AND LOVE UR HAIR! KEEP IT UP!

  • @sxychica1 thanks =) is the logitech 9000 an hd cam? i bought one that was hd, i think maybe the logitech c500 not sure, but it's not compatible with my laptop, my laptop is 3 years old, windows vista, my processor wasn't big enought and my bit rate wasn't fast enough, the cam and software was soooo slow drove, me insane

  • @MsAriella89 wow I must like u cuz I went and hooked up my cam 4 u! lol ok so it is CAPABLE of recording HD, but not limited to. It records optional:

    Standard *4:3* = 320x240 QVGA, 640x480 VGA, 800x600 SVGA, 1600x1200 2MP, and 3624x2448 8MP*

    Widescreen

    *16:9* = 320x180 QVGA, 640x360 VGA, 800x450 SVGA, 1280x720 HD*, and 1280x720 HD

I just wrote down the dimensions for you, one in each category has an asterisk (I don't know why).

    I hope this helps =D

  • omg i love this because you and i have IDENTICAL hair types lol and its funny cause i died my hair to and its grown out to like the same place urs is lmao.!

  • would it be possible if you need some vid ideas ya know if we can see a video of how you style your hair? i LOVE LOVE the style where you have it up and the front is out & wild.

  • @hauteyella lol yea sure, i did that tutorial tho, my fro-hawk vid, it doesn't look the same because my curls were basically just waves in that video, but i'll do it again

  • I think i have three textures. My nape area is like a 4b and the crown area is 3b and the back is 4a.

  • @BerniceLancaster i think your hair is 4b in the front and a 3c in the back

  • You said that your hair is really wavy and it dosent do much on its own. I believe its because you still have that straight hair on it. I BC'd 5 days ago and when i was done there was still like 1/2 an inch of permed hair in places and my hair was wavy. I trimmed it to make sure everything straight was off and it made a huge difference in my curls. there so much curlier and they do it on there own. Hopefully when you 100% natural urs will do the same. btw I adore your videos..

  • @lilnoriko you're probably right, i'm not sure though because it's thinner where my "wavy" hair is too, there's not as much hair in that area, I dno it sounds weird, but i'm finding out it's more normal than i realized lol, and thanks so much ;)

  • really pretty! My hair has 2 different textures too. The parts that don't curl I use my fingers and that works, they just need some help thats all lol xx

  • I like it and your hair is relly pretty

  • Camera-its pretty good, the color quality it alot better than your previous one. But look into to Sony, and Canon Powershots

Hair Texture- I would def say that the back is 4a and the front 3c so a mix but like you said you still have some relaxed ends on the front which weight down the curl pattern, so for now I will say 3c/4a you could be like me and be a 3b/3c/4a mix but your hair is gorgeous and I love that color on you!

  • @chicandtease thank u so much, u kno wat the quality is pretty good, the video needed time to be processed, i watched it as soon as i uploaded it and it was soooo blurry, the cam still gives me problems though, might look into sony, thanks again =]
