ninjas werent just known for there up-2-date equipment,but,also there ingenuity! a lot of there weapons or hooks or even the shuriken,were all invented off hand(usually recrafted garden tools,example-shuriken was at one point just a trowel)

but,any type of modern armed ninja would probably not use all that ,but,the most advanced stuff around

(plus,I dont think they would carry a wakasashi that size in CQB,most likly a tanto)

Your right about the Tanto, Then again I Doute a Full sized G36K would do much good in a CQB match up... maybe a Mp5A4 or A5 not to sure which. There are ways to use Shuriken even now... of course it would be like the Old days have to poison the Shurken to do much of anything. Then having a pistol would do some use also.

shuriken were rarely used as a way to attack but to engage combat and distract the enemy from the real danger, the sword...(they were thrown in lots not one after one...at least thats what several trainer said when i asked ;D
