@MegaExtremeGames Same thing here. The ISO might have some errors in it, Did you set the Ram to default? I set the RAM to 2048 Windows 98 MAX and a 40G HDD. Let me know.

@MegaExtremeGames I also have that problem and i also have a netbook there is a part when hes formating his HDD for the VPC and it shows a yellow line for him but for me it shows a box and shows how much percentage i think if you try to install windows 98 it wont work for us because we have netbooks tell me when you fix it so far all the OS's i have work like win7, XP, ME, 2000 so i know its not my netbook it could be but maybe its not all OS's so far work but 98 so tell me when you fix it ty.

You have to legally purchase an operating system for install. Virtual PC, or physical.

at that one part when it says setup is preparing to install windows 98 on the blue screen, you got a bunch more words and pressed enter but mine says first "please remove any floppy disks" (none inserted anywhere) and then it restarts. then it says setup is preparing to install windows, and stays there. I'm on my laptop, but i have the same problem on my desktop. both are powerful enough. What's wrong?

That program did NOT work for me. My laptop has a problem with Windows 98 AND Windows Me. My Dell x200 laptop with a docking station that has a cd-rom can read ANY operating system but windows 98 and ME. My computer acts as if windows 98/me isn't even there. Oh well!

You are wrong.

The minimum amount of space required by Windows 98 Setup is 225MB.

A full install of Windows 98 could use up as much as 400MB of hard disk space.

Windows 98 will need 20MB or 30MB for its dynamic swap file.

You can also "Double Space" your Hard Drive.

Yes, I have since recreated the thumb drive experament by coping its contents on to my harddrive in C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Virtual Machines\Win98se and then add a "New Virtual Machine" using that pathway for the vcm file

that's because Microsoft intentionally made windows vista virtualization incompatible WTF!!! they say virtual pc 07 is for running legacy software. Well vista is pretty much the only operating system that will flat out not run it! It's only compatable with Win2k Windows XP (SP 1 and higher) and vista ultimate. I recommend virtual box from sun microsystems, at least it somewhat works.
