My friend Jonathan was very much my hearo with my last ex. He relized before my family that my ex was beating the sh!t out of me and protected me from it. He called my ex out on it one night and I didnt even know it till the beatings got worse. I left him after about 3 months and my friend has been there when I need to talk. Well that one's pretty easy to answer. I've been in that situation before, being a girl myself. It's a matter of confidence. The men tear us down to a point where we believe we can't get anyone else. I didn't go through that with a boyfriend, but I did with my dad. I just kept telling myself that he really did love me and he was going to change, but he didn't and it took my fifteen years to realize he never would.
i wish the lady i want would listen to this. not the words. but the meaning. not havin her is eating me up. i treated her better than he did. never made her cry. just smiles. thats all i wanted, to make her happy. but shes caught up on him :( damn assholes...

When she finally got the nerv to leave him he acted like he didn't care 'till her and I got together then he flipped a lid but wouldn't even look me in the eye when I tried to talk to him. Went around talkin' 'bout how he was gonna kill me and such. Now he moved and my girl and I are engaged. Song reminded.
