@mnemento he had a great size advantage I know, that's obvious. But he didn't win many matches without cheating himself or having someone else cheat for him.... Gonzalez was the same in that case. I fully respect both of them as they both had big roles (parden the punn lol) and it was great seeing the matches like Hogan vs Andre and Undertaker vs Gonzalez(the summerslam one, wrestlemania 9 one was boring, all matches that end by DQ I find boring)

It also helps haven't the two greatest commentators of all time calling the match, Monsoon and Ross. I don't think Ross could have grown as an announcer as much as he did had they of kept him with Monsoon, but it's a shame we couldn't have heard them together more often. El Gigante deserved better than a squash match though.

Didn't know Randy Savage pinned Jorge. Quite an amazing match, for the "Macho Man". Not even Hogan wrestled or pinned Jorge, except in "Thunder in Paradise". Hogan never let Randy beat him, because of his "creative control", in his wrestling contracts. If it was a shoot fight, I think Savage would win against Hogan.

Great Khali=Giant Gonzalez of the 2000s. Almost the exact same move set: punch, chop, big boot, choke into a chokeslam/drop, etc. Biggest difference is that Gonzalez held his chokes for eternity before actually doing anything.

lol i remember seening giant gonzalez as el gigante at a wcw live event in the savannah civic center in savannah, ga. i met a young "flyin" brian pillman that night. man as cheesy as some of the stuff was back then i'd probably still watch wrestling if these guys were still around. i just can't get into that new garbage. i watched wrestling from 85 till about 2002ish...i quit watching when lance storm retired.
