  • I dont like being called a noob

  • have a wondering. im about to get a macbook. and im thinking about buying a duet ONE. and my question is: do you ahve to install the interface? or can you use it whenever you want or do you have to keep it around with your macbook constantly?

im kind of new with mac and all this. I would apreciate if someone could explain.

  • @familysabotage I think he took the time out to give everyone some information on the product he bought. He already bought it... it's not like this review is doing HIM any good. STFU and pick a different review.

  • why do people bother on about prices being too high? if you are actually SERIOUS about making good recordings, you might choose to skip out on a dinner out with your girl maybe? Save up for a week or two more than settling on shit? Duet for portable / minimal, yes. Ensemble for studio, yes. Pillocks.

  • If i was to pay £320 for the Duet, I would not be putting in that case.

    Nice vid otherwise.

  • speak up

  • @TheLesPaul101 - get some decent speakers maybe?

  • Thanks man - very helpful!

  • That bag looks so 80's

  • do you want to sell it to me

  • Just wondering does the knob on the interface also control monitor level aswell? Im aware that it controls input gain but obviously direct control of monitor level is pretty useful too! Thanks

  • do you still have your e-mu? and if so, would you be willing to part with it (pm me a price if you want :] ) ?

  • there is an HD version of this review if you check our channel

  • nice bag review lol ;) - no honestly your reviews are relly cool !!!

  • You sound as engaging as Steve Interesting Davis, I'll persevere to part two! ;-)

  • er... part-1 not a clue? watch them all and see.

  • i just wish someone would demo the features so one could see how it WORKS,TRACKS, and SOUNDS. thanks though. Learned alot about the bag

man, just hook it up and do something-please.

  • I know the sound is going to be total. BUUUUT. No digital I/O's and must have your Mac and nothing else. Anybody compared the EMU 0404? It is a great concept that does it all, as well as stand-alone.

  • interfaces with 4 inputs and 2 outputs are a little bigger than the duet but a lot more practical because they don't have those ugly thin fragile cables that come with the duet.

apogee one could have had the two inputs built in as well and it still would have been smaller than the duet. looks like apogee went a little too far with trying to make their products be different.

so much for ease of use and elegant design! yikes...

  • Hi , I am a small time producer just starting up and would like to get an apogee ONE is it as good ? My combo is MacBook Pro ( 2.8 ghz 4 GB ram ) + Logic pro 9 . Thanks . Great video ! Whats your view on the Apogee ONE please ?

  • It only has one input.

  • Nice setup, but I would reccomend the duet - TWO channels.

  • love this product..

    thanks for the review!

  • yes.. lol.. the words 'PART-1' at the start might have been a clue :)

  • Great review for the bag. For actually getting to see the actual interface and how it works when connected to a mac, you might have to look elsewhere!

  • Sorry, I'm a complete idiot. There are another five parts. I have to get into the habit of resizing the screen!

  • great review, very informative. thanks

  • jjjj

  • sadly so far this isnt showing the 'Watch In HQ' option - some say there is a bug currently in youtube code causing this. I might try and re-upload a different render version.
