Ya I was there the other week and was "kindly asked to leave" but then again I was watching from the top of the parking garage which btw is an excellent spot
Wow. An A330 at tf green. Probably a once in a lifetime thing. Did you know that Concorde land in kpvd! In 2001. Thanks for ur subscribtion I subscribed to u!
@alx2925 During football season, most of the visiting teams charter B767's to TF Green, even from San Diego. Right now, the largest regular commercial service flights are Airbus 321's and Boeing 757's. Not exactly sure how a 767 full of a football team and their equipment can make it across the USA to TF Green, but not regular commercial service.
can you still watch planes like that after 9-11. my dad used to but he doesn't know if we still can. Someone please write me a message back to tell me if it is legal or not!
no, u cud 2 years ago and i had a nice spot (A REAL GOOD ONE! RIGHT ON THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY) But we went last year and they kicked us. It may have been because a higher safety thing. It goes up and down. You need to go to see.
Actually yes I can. This road is not on airport property, no signs saying that you cant park or stop and is not in the way of any traffic what so ever, however be prepared for questioning from the Police, because I went there once and a cop on a Motorcycle asked me some questions. But they wont care really over here
My grandmother who lives near the airport used to take me to watch the airplanes when i was little, i guess you can't really even do that after 9/11. The flight path for runway 23 takes landing planes right over my house, though.
I can relate to you. When I was a Webelos scout and was working on my travel activity pin, my Dad and I would watch the Planes come in after the check point. The Last time I was beyond the checkpoint was Feb 98 when heading down to FL with mom for Winter School break.
the 767 is usually a dash 300 series. but it is the Patriots charter. I think the largest schedualed passenger plane is the 757, operated by United and U.S. Airways seasonally.
the 767 from Delta is usually a dash 300. but it it almost always the Patriots charter flight. I think the largest schedualed passenger plane in Providence in the 757. both United and U.S. Airways operate the 757 seasonally.

I stand and watch on the far south side of the airport past hooters at the second light on the sidewalk. It's right behind the runway! Check it out

better to spot on teh other side of the road, but the cops love to come by if you have a camera.
BOS is the best spotting.. tons of great places to spot up at Logan esp by the beach and like 300 ft under the planes.

I guess PVD doesn't get a lot of heavies

No they dont, the biggest aircraft that flys out of there is a 767 from Delta, and that doesnt come in that often
alx2925 4 years ago
Yes, it looks like a very legal spot. By the way do you have Microsoft's Flight and Train Simulators? I think you might enjoy both a lot. :)
