  • what kind of moss is that

  • I agree with both of you. there are too many idiots in the pet trade when we should be there.

  • I"ve seen the red and blue frog in the wild in costa rica, it was hopping around and i couldnt keep up while trying to take photos, it jumped the length of this tank easily. I hate to say it, but this is shit for four frogs. maybe 1 for 3 days

  • What the fuck is this shit, seriously? Even double the size of this ... "enclosure" wouldn't be enough for 2 dendrobates!

Also Dartfrogs aren't "very easy" and not at all for fucking kids. Ever heard of Chytridiomycosis? They can get sick with this if they arent't handled right or if they're getting stressed.

  • I thought the rule of thumb was 1 dart frog per 10 gallon tank, so 4 would need a 40 gallon tank? And also they need 80-100% humidity... Which I thought required an air tight tank... Am I mistaken?

  • @RSinton no humidity of 80 - 100% can be reached without an air tight tank which in fact would kill the plants as the plants need good fresh air and circulation. Due to this fog machines, rain systems, etc are used to increase the humidity without making the tank air tight. And yes it is 1 dart to 10 gallons however some require more space like the D. azureus which I feel needs 15 - 20 gallons pert frog.

  • @egonoe1 ya that moss is cool! I want some in my terrarium too!

  • That tiny tank is fucking cruel. I'd buy one, remove the frog, and then smash the glass tank over the jack ass's head who's trying to see this crap.

  • @egonoe1 It looks like Pillow moss.

Check online. It's available from many places.

  • @honnoand000 Are you a dart frog beginner?

If the kid holds one, they are not going to die. They won't even get sick. Dart frogs kept in captivity are not toxic at all. Their toxicity in the wild is a result of their diet. Even if they were, frog toxin is not absorbed through human skin. Captive bred frogs (as most are) are harmless.

I would keep 1, maybe a pair in those little cubes but not four. Also, dart frogs need high humidity but moderate temps (70 to 75 is ideal).

  • @stimpson65 i learned that shortly after i wrote that comment..ya..i shouldnt have wrote wat i didnt know..sorry

  • @egonoe1 tanx for the info.

  • how much does one of these tanks go for??

  • what moss and what pump is in there?

  • what kind of pump is tht cuhz ii need sumthin lik tht,, does any1 kno where ii can get 1

  • those tanks cant fit 4 dart frogs.... WAY TOO CROWDED.. that barely fits 1 dart frog and even at 1 thats not even a good way to set it up! I mean he doesnt even have 1 hide for them.

  • @YankysRule

They still sell I guess when I think about all the "reay-to-sell" cheap tanks you see here on youtube.

  • someone PLEASE tell me where i can buy one of them vivariums. I want to the small modell. So that i slowly can start building a vivarium. i´d always wanted to start but did´nt know what tank to buy. But know i know. anyone?

  • i love how this guys tryen to sell these lil tanks sayen u can put 4 dart frogs in it . I wouldnt even put one in it all my dart frogs r in no less then a 30 gal but hey thats just me. Im not tryen to sell dart frog setups 2 soccer moms and dads

  • how do u get the water to move? is there a filter and heater, how do u get the moss like that?

  • awsome!! Can u tell how to get those plants u have there?? Those balls of moss and that curious little pink flower like bromeliads among them.

  • awesome dart and poison arrow forgs

  • Fermkroner, your wrong, those 12x12x18 exo terras turn out to be 12/ish gallons which is perfectly suitable for a wide range of dart frogs. Dendrobatidae R. Imitator/variabilis/lamasi for example...it goes on. But unfortunately these tanks may look good but are not suitable because of the lack of coverage. It would create a very stressfuly enviroment for the frog.

  • so you just think that the tanks need more plants right?

  • Way to small vivariums for D. azureus. And D. pumilio. And... everything but D. ventrimaculatus!

  • Is that blue frog on 0:14 real?

  • Comment removed

  • yes

  • just a exo-terra cage with some dumbass guys idea to sell the tanks with some plants in it. this video really pissed me off. i dont know why , but it gives me a feel of the cheapness and lies that goes on in the world today

  • The reason you are probably mad is because mixing species of dart frogs is a VERY BAD IDEA.+ the dart are in WAY to small of an enclosure with hardly any hiding places.

  • ok im totally against this guy cuz it's just an exo terra cage but for u people that don't realize-those frogs are toys! but yes, if they were real they would need more space.

  • @dartfrogz those frogs are fake

  • i no makeing mony is so bad that guys an ass hole

  • these frogs are real...

  • Do Frogs need heat ... or just humidity because i had a gecko tht needed extreme humidity i found myself spraying it every 5 minutes.. is this wut it will be like with a frog

  • even worse.

so the best thing would be to install a watering system.

  • looks cool and simple, but if u copy this, u dont get to make one the way u want.

  • where can I get that moss?

  • wish I had the money for those tanks

  • do you know the price?

  • $60-$120

  • i think they're nice, but....i also see they're made for making money, and not from the hart, i believe you can make a better one for less!!!

  • those exact models are the 12 x 12 x 18 exo terras and they are 50 dollars.

  • I have been reading that captive dart frogs are not poisonous, is this correct? Also, can I keep fish in the water section once I have set my tank up, will they get on with the frogs as long as I have a good filter system?

  • true dart frogs do lose their toxicity when bred in captivity cause of their diets but you gotta be careful with how deep you make the water, dart frogs are not good swimmers and will drown so if your gonna put fish in, its probably too deep..good luck anyway

  • i agree with everything you say except the part about the water being too deep. i agree that at a certain level the water can kill frogs, but i have found that it is tank corners that drown frogs(exhaustion from trying to get out of water and sliding back in). also shallow water allows a frog to drown another by sitting on top of head. deeper water allows the drowning frog to dive and resurface. they are not terrible swimmers. i'll post a vid of my froggie pool.

  • cool

  • they do look nice but i agree with vadafone i dont think that would be god for 4pdf's. they seem kinda bare with no hiding places. check out my vivarium its not pdf's i have taods but i think it would be more suitable than these vivariums.

  • those are dart frogs

  • I don't think these are very good videos. Unless you have thumbnails, I don't think that 4 pdf's could fit in that viv. I don't have any, but know their basic needs. If you want some, do your research first. They need more care than just 4 times a year. You have to do all your fly cultures, misting, etc etc.

  • wow thats really nice, ive always wanted a vivarium, how much would a medium sized vivarium cost you?

  • at petco near me there selling a nices size one you see on here for aboyt 50$

  • make your own that shits garbage
