@iProHeartless People didnt want the show to turn into Hulk Hogan and friends. Hogan was the man for 30 years that theoretically could turn a promotion around just with the recognition of having Hulk Hogan in the company. But the price of having Hogan comes with guys like AJ Styles, Samoa joe, Christopher Daniels getting thrown to the mid card while Hogan and Bischoff prep whoever they want take their spot on the card. Hogan will make the main event whether he wrestles or not.

I remember this vividly. I was in Jr High. I can remember the actual emotional pain when Sting was getting beat I could feel. It was amazing how well WCW played on your emotions and how well it worked. Miss these days.
I was so happy when they finally got a chance to beat the Stinger's ass. He was a chump. He beat a bunch of jabronies and thought he deserved a shot at Hogan's nWo title. Stinger knows Hogan beat him fair and square at Starrcade Hollywood style. That hero is a zero, my friends.
What exactly did this bring to the angle? I don't think the nWo should have beat up Sting. Instead I think it would have been better if Sting went to the ring and tried to save WCW wrestlers from getting further attacked by the nWo, but for some reason or another (the ring being blocked off by some barrier setup by the nWo whether it be guards or whatever) he can't save the day like usual. That would upset Sting and put him in more rage and what to destroy the nWo and Hollywood Hogan even more.
"I!!!...AM!!!...GOD!!!"...lol damn that still cracks me up to this day. Turning Hogan's larger than life good guy persona into the ultimate egotisical heel was a stroke if pure genius!!!

what makes me laugh to this day as it did when i was a kid. is sting saved everyones ass in WCW when they got the ever loving crap kicked outta them. you think sting would have some kind of backup from the guys he saved. what were they all doing backstage kitting sweaters
I remember when he got the net dropped on him and then he got the shit kicked out of him!! That was one of the funniest moments because Sting was invincible for far too long. Finally justice was served,lol!!
