  • it is so true what you say richard about the parody

  • She's a pale version, most of the Marilyn impersonators are plastic and hard, could never capture her vulnerability, her essence

  • This is awful. It's not even an impression; it's more like a parody and not a very good one. The show is awful too. I haven't seen too much of Kovacs but heard he was a genius and prototype of later comics but I don't see much talent or even personality evident here.

  • Love this, too. Her timing is incredible.

    Love the song choice.

  • Love this, too. Her timing is incredible.

    Love the song choice.

  • This is the worst show I have ever seen....crickets crickets crickets. By the way, from the opening shot it looks like this was done @ NBC New York.

  • Edie Adams impersonation of MM is hysterical and so clever.

  • Edie sure is a cutie!

  • This was great, got a big LOL watching this. Both were talented and made for each other. TV is lame now.

  • I thought I had read that Ernie was driving a Corvair station wagon. Do you know whether that's true?

Unsafe at any speed! (I drove/owned one, and it's true.)

  • It's almost frightening how perfectly she does Marilyn.

  • Edie was not killed in 1982. Her husband Ernie Kovacs died in a 1962 auto accident; her daughter Mia died in 1982. Edie lived until 2008, continuing to work in TV and film, and paying off all of Ernie's tax debt (he reviled the IRS/federal income tax).

This is the most hilarious/accurate caricature of a caricature I've ever seen. That lip/jaw thing she does reveals what a ridiculously shallow meme Marilyn Monroe was. The love on Ernie's face as she finishes singing is beautiful.

  • @FnordicQueen You're so right. Mia died in an auto accident not far from the site of

her Father's crash. Rumor has it that Ernie was reaching for a cigar in his glove compartment and lost control of his station wagon.

  • ha ha ha ha ha davy crokett

  • They even went to far as to have the band play Marilyn's theme from the Seven Year Itch.

  • I that Ernie playing the piano? Oh, I guess not.

  • Edie I'm sure was wonderful but her impression of Marilyn Monroe isn't good or even very good.

I remember watching this on t.v. and thought I didn't get it because I was so young. Now I'm not young and I realize how poorly done it was.

    God rest all of them.

  • I would love to see her Marylin rendition of "S Wonderful" that was on Kovac's show as well.

  • The audience didn't seem very receptive.

  • Kovacs and Adams--a match made in heaven. Adams as MM singing Davey Crockett -- PRICELESS!!!

  • That was the most incredible impersonation of Marilyn Monroe I ever saw! She got every single little personal nuance down!

  • Edie used to kid that she only did her Marilyn impersonation when Monroe was out of the country. In truth, Marilyn loved the impression and thought it was hilarious.

  • God rest her soul. This is marvelously funny! Not only is she sexy here but she accurately got all of Monroe's gestures down packed. Look @ 0:20 and you know what I mean!

  • Too cool! I knew they were married but OH GOSH I had NO idea that Edie was so BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • LOL:)

  • The talent of these two, and now they are together again..Bless them !

  • @mansfield67 ...Along with their daugher, Mia Susan--she was killed in an automobile accident in 1982.

  • What a routine! Edie, you were a delight to watch, no matter what you did. Thanks for sharing this video memory on YOU TUBE.
