I've lost a lot of family to death. I have learned to live with it. I hang on2 the memories I have & make the most of time. I lost my grandfather n the middle of March 2 lung cancer this yr and I'm about 2 loose an aunt 2 bone cancer. @olympian00 Hey, I kind of know how you feel, I am going to be 13 soon. i always get straight a's and I kind of feel like they aren't being up front with their pride. But you just have to know, they are equally proud of you and your sister. Maybe seeing a slight change in your sister's grade got your parents excited. Just talk to them, just say "hey mom, maybe we could get an ice cream as a treat for my good grades?" it might seem up front, but then she will know that you want a treat sometimes

@0jordyn0 he is being a jerk. I would just forget about him. but if you insist on wanting to date him my advice is to stop texting him, stop being the one to instigate all your conversations. Give him the cold shoulder or play him hot and cold. be mysterious and seem unattainable. it will be more interesting than the "I'm young and naive and so in love with you" thing.
@0jordyn0 In my opinion, he is just using you. When he is away, he probably doesn't answer your texts or anything because he is too busy flirting with other girls, then when he's near you, he wants to make sure you are still interested. I know it's hard to move on, but I think putting yourself in situations where you have the chance to meet new guys could help you a lot. @iamwerido While you might see this as only a 4 year gap, you have to look at this a bit deeper. This guy is 19, the age where many people are in their second year of college. You're 15 and recently in high school. Maybe you feel there is physical attraction, but intellectually and probably emotionally you two are worlds apart. I don't mean to be insensitive, but trust someone whose been there and done that.

@LuckieGirl008 if u still kind of like him what i would do is tlk 2 him about it and explain how you feel about everything and be open and honest with him its a scary thing 2 do but it can pay of explain about the way you feel and see if he feels the same way to and go from there and act on it. if your going to diffrent colleges a key thing id say to think about is the distance between them 2 see if it would work and you could both try to if not then slowly try to give him and get space from him

I notice you tend to get many young people who have considered/attempted suicide and they confide in you. Have you considered doing some training for handling these situations (like manning the phones at a suicide hotline)? Just an idea. @faithdeel i think if you just talk to her, and ask her to be friend again, i'm sure she'll understand. But what i would do is give her some time before she gets over her ex. That's what i would do, i think i just piratically answered my own question that i just wrote, but don't think about suicide because it's a permanent answer to something that could be solved in no time. I also contemplated and i found immediate help. And if you think cutting is the way to go well then stop. (continued)
@faithdeel Cutting is not a good way to go. Sure it feels good to let those horrible feelings slip away, but it's harming yourself. And scars on a girl is not sexy. If you stop i am 80% sure that she might consider it. I can't give you 100% just because it always doesn't work. Don't send her notes saying i'm sorry. It's better to just confront her face to face. It means more than just a note. Instead of cutting, vent your feelings like write or draw. That always works for me. I hope this helped

I'm slowly finding ways to make it better for me, work-wise, and kind of sticking to coworkers I like more than others, helping them out with little in-between tasks whenever possible. (Although working behind the bar counter for my first night yesterday freaked me out immensely. The maths! @THEnarwhal1234 here's my advice. It may not seem perfect, and it may take time. But practice harder than any other girl. Practice for at least 2 hours a day. All it takes is practice. I'm not an actress, but i've been through all this kind of stuff. @polarpanda16 Do not ignore it! If you hear that i would tell her mother, or call 911. She could get in series trouble for running away. She can be taken to a mental hospital or worse. Maybe if she sees that her mother cares about her, she won't run away. My aunt did the same thing when she was my age. Good for you for caring for somebody you don't know. I know how you feel. @bridget1336 I'm afraid there's not much you can do, it sounds like. If he's already moved on, you need to respect his decision and back away. It seems like the two of you definitely need some time apart; maybe you can be there for him as a friend and let him know you still have these feelings for him, but if you try to get him to break up with his new girlfriend or something similar it'll end up just making you look bad.

@haayleyox Don't worry too much. You've made a mistake and have moved on, and there's no need to dwell. While smoking is very bad for you, a few isolated incidents won't have any real impact on your health. Also, there's not much to do about the damage smoking can cause besides to stop smoking. So, there's no real need to see a doctor, just don't smoke anymore and you should be fine. If for any reason you begin to feel short of breath, then go ahead and see the doctor.

my first thought would to look around and find other people rather than her but if you are really set on her try getting back up very very slowly like say hi in the halls then start little conversations and then go up from there
@faithdeel You need to see a professional. Depression and self-mutilation are not OK. It's fine to get upset over losing this girl in your life, but it seems you're more upset than you should be and there is definitely an underlying cause (your depression). A Psychiatrist would be the best route. Talk to them about anti-depressants, they really work.
And whatever you do, don't kill yourself. There is so much in the world to live for.

I am a 17 year old actress who is overweight. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I've done long, numerous diets and exercises (and even went through some eating disorders that I'm not proud of) for YEARS but nothing worked. I know this is gonna sound bad, but is liposuction out of the question? Usually I would say no way, but if I'm serious about acting then I feel like I should really consider it. The issue is that my parents disagree with it. What do you think?

I've lost a lot of family to death. I have learned to live with it. I hang on2 the memories I have & make the most of time. I lost my grandfather n the middle of March 2 lung cancer this yr and I'm about 2 loose an aunt 2 bone cancer. But you just have to know, they are equally proud of you and your sister. Maybe seeing a slight change in your sister's grade got your parents excited. Just talk to them, just say "hey mom, maybe we could get an ice cream as a treat for my good grades?" it might seem up front, but then she will know that you want a treat sometimes

I remember when I first started high school, and I didn't know anybody either, and it isn't in my nature to talk to random people either, but I went up to this one girl I just started talking, and we're best friends now, I find a good way to start talking to and how to approach people is to compliment them on something, and remember to act like yourself! @0jordyn0 In my opinion, he is just using you. When he is away, he probably doesn't answer your texts or anything because he is too busy flirting with other girls, then when he's near you, he wants to make sure you are still interested. I know it's hard to move on, but I think putting yourself in situations where you have the chance to meet new guys could help you a lot. @iamwerido While you might see this as only a 4 year gap, you have to look at this a bit deeper. This guy is 19, the age where many people are in their second year of college. You're 15 and recently in high school. Maybe you feel there is physical attraction, but intellectually and probably emotionally you two are worlds apart. @faithdeel i think if you just talk to her, and ask her to be friend again, i'm sure she'll understand. But what i would do is give her some time before she gets over her ex. That's what i would do, i think i just piratically answered my own question that i just wrote, but don't think about suicide because it's a permanent answer to something that could be solved in no time. @faithdeel Cutting is not a good way to go. Sure it feels good to let those horrible feelings slip away, but it's harming yourself. And scars on a girl is not sexy. If you stop i am 80% sure that she might consider it. I can't give you 100% just because it always doesn't work. Don't send her notes saying i'm sorry. It's better to just confront her face to face. It means more than just a note. Instead of cutting, vent your feelings like write or draw. That always works for me. I hope this helped

I'm slowly finding ways to make it better for me, work-wise, and kind of sticking to coworkers I like more than others, helping them out with little in-between tasks whenever possible. (Although working behind the bar counter for my first night yesterday freaked me out immensely. The maths! @THEnarwhal1234 here's my advice. It may not seem perfect, and it may take time. But practice harder than any other girl. Practice for at least 2 hours a day. All it takes is practice. I'm not an actress, but i've been through all this kind of stuff. The girls that can't kick a kick ball or catch one get's picked first. and i know how to kick one far, and how to catch one, but i'm always kicked last. Maybe at your next audition wear a nice dress and look pretty. dat should score u a few points.

@polarpanda16 Do not ignore it! If you hear that i would tell her mother, or call 911. She could get in series trouble for running away. She can be taken to a mental hospital or worse. Maybe if she sees that her mother cares about her, she won't run away. My aunt did the same thing when she was my age. Good for you for caring for somebody you don't know. I know how you feel. But tell her not to leave, and if she does, seek some help! Tell her to get a family therapist.

Dear Buck or anyone, I'm scared to be with the guy I like. Everyone says he's crazy. They don't know the stuff he's been through and I do. I can see why he acts the way he does sometimes, but it doesn't change the way I feel about him. We dated but one night I just got extremly frustrated. @bridget1336 I'm afraid there's not much you can do, it sounds like. If he's already moved on, you need to respect his decision and back away. It seems like the two of you definitely need some time apart; maybe you can be there for him as a friend and let him know you still have these feelings for him, but if you try to get him to break up with his new girlfriend or something similar it'll end up just making you look bad.

Dear Buck or Anyone! I'm 15 and i'm really worried about my health after smoking shisha/hookah twice in a month. Before, I had no idea that it's really bad and dangerous for health. I did some research earlier and found that it is worse than smoking a cigarette, in fact, it is as bad as smoking 100 cigarettes in one session! @haayleyox Don't worry too much. You've made a mistake and have moved on, and there's no need to dwell. While smoking is very bad for you, a few isolated incidents won't have any real impact on your health. Also, there's not much to do about the damage smoking can cause besides to stop smoking. So, there's no real need to see a doctor, just don't smoke anymore and you should be fine. If for any reason you begin to feel short of breath, then go ahead and see the doctor.

@faithdeel if she reacted like that shes not worth your time... i know how it is with cutting and sometimes itz hard not to think about doing it again, but please dont it doesn't help with your problems
my first thought would to look around and find other people rather than her but if you are really set on her try getting back up very very slowly like say hi in the halls then start little conversations and then go up from there

@faithdeel You need to see a professional. Depression and self-mutilation are not OK. It's fine to get upset over losing this girl in your life, but it seems you're more upset than you should be and there is definitely an underlying cause (your depression). A Psychiatrist would be the best route. Talk to them about anti-depressants, they really work.
And whatever you do, don't kill yourself. There is so much in the world to live for.

I'm 14 and have a group of close friends. They are awesome but for a while they've been saying I'm a lesbian. Not that theres anything wrong with being lesbian, but It does upset me, as its obvious they're trying to annoy me so they can seem cool. Most of the time they are my best friends but then they start writing it on walls and tell everyone I know. I tried talking to them calmly, like you suggested in your videos but they ignore me. @Frazzle48 Hey! well... I would say, just ignore them. that's what I usually do. even if it does upset, try to act like it doesn't touch you at all. somewhen it will stop upsetting you! :)
if you're not the ignoring-type of person, I would just be like "why is that? why would I be a lesbian? I accept homosexual people and I have nothing against them but why are you calling me that? I am not. saying that to me makes you sound kind of homophobic" be polite, but clear.

I am a 17 year old actress who is overweight. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I've done long, numerous diets and exercises (and even went through some eating disorders that I'm not proud of) for YEARS but nothing worked. I know this is gonna sound bad, but is liposuction out of the question? Usually I would say no way, but if I'm serious about acting then I feel like I should really consider it. The issue is that my parents disagree with it. What do you think?

@runwaybaby59 well... I don't think liposuction is that big of a deal. if you are serious in acting, if you have the money and the permission and nothing else worked - why not? I don't want to sound rude or so, but after all overweight is unhealthy too!
BUT - just keep in mind it is not necessary to be thin to be an actress. it is a lot easier for sure, but it is not like... required.

@runwaybaby59 hey so i think that honestly if you really want liposuction that it may be something to invest in. but i just want to say that usually in casting for a show they usally look to see if you have the right look for the part. so skinny doesn't always mean better. skinny people have trouble finding jobs to but if the talent is there you will get your big break stay positive and always follow your heart.

@runwaybaby59 cutting yourself open and damaging your body like that is never okay just for the sake of looks. and who's to say you can't become a famous actress the way you are? there are many bigger actresses and singer out there that people love for their talent, TALENT, not for how they look. and you may not realize it but there are much more important things that a career, for example health (which is not worth risking), family, friends, love - you can have them all, overweight or not :)

@runwaybaby59 if you believe that liposuction is the right decision, you should go for it, but definitely make sure you do your research before hand. i wish i could get you to reconsider though. there are all types of beautiful, and you shouldn't feel like you need to fit into some specific idea of what "beautiful" is. you need to decide for yourself if you're going to love the way you look, flaws in all, or if you're going to let society decide what "pretty" means. :)
