  • Please where could i get this one?

  • @emercito I don't think that this specific construction is in the kit market. I have also searched different electronic kit sites, and seems that these companies don't design SW receiver kits. They stay into the classic kits (guitar amplifier, power supply, smoke detector, digital counter, electronic roulette, things like these) :-\

  • I am building one like yours...question where is the BFO?...I think one is offered by Diz...

  • The BFO is the "Gilbert Cell Audio Detector " as Diz calls it.

    Have fun!

  • tks Tom...I just figured it out...did you use the 5.067mhz xtals for xtal filter?. I am using the Universal VFO (1.8 to 2mhz) and Diode Ring Mixer ......with his IF amp...

  • Yes, I used the 5.067 Mhz crystals. For Cw they worked out quite well. Wire the post mixer IF amp for 200 ohms and put a 200 ohm resistor across pins 4 and 5 of the MC1350.

  • another great video.gotta build me a radio..Sounds great also.Keep making radios and videos of the build.they dont get old.

  • This is a free running VFO

  • Is the VFO free running? it sounds very stable!

    PA1DSP (ex. PE1OIT).

  • Now that's what a receiver *should* look like. Sounds nice too. The call outs were a plus. wa5bdu
