  • The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) should drop the L.

  • i'm telling you people get as much gold as you can and move to switzerland. we are going into a much deeper recession in2012

  • How many of those 315K were retirees and what is a "normal" number of people to leave the workplace in a "bull" economy? Just curious.

  • those jobs data dont include part time work i been outta work for 2 years now nobodies hiring in my area my town is drying up cant sell my house nobodies buying and if they do they try to talk u down so you aint getting nothing for it cant drive to far for work gas costs to much ive reserched the unemployment its 1 out of every 4.5 people is out of work just say 1 outta 4 dosent have a job thats nuts

  • Hey, Demcad. I use to live in Flint, Mi about 15 years ago.

  • @JacRedstar 12 years ago*

  • Canada is geting worse too, The average median income was around 40,000 dollars a year in 1980 and now it's about the same figure (From stasCan website) this means the middle class is dissapearing in Canada too.Because of inflation 40,000 dollars is not even enough to afford a house realistically. Both in the USA and Canada we are being turned into landless peasants for the benefit of a few wealthy families.

  • The idea of objective measurement has always been an absurd concept to me. The CPI is even worse. Who the hell decides what should be in that basket and how it should be weighed based on which objective criteria?

I think the most relevant number is how many of the entire population is actually working. The idea that "the workforce" can be quantified is ridiculous.

Anyhow, I'm both not in the workforce and working. That's an interesting combo, being a student that is.

  • This sounds simular to the cooked CPI Number... minus food and energy? lol SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!

  • I really do think there is a mass wave of people being laid off. According to Niomi Prinz, on Alex Jones, that there are layoffs in the financial sector, but they are not getting reported by the media. We will probably see layoffs increase, as credit begins to freeze.

  • hear is how the government arrives with their unemployment numbers, say you have a population of 100 people and there are a total of 100 jobs available if everyone is working you would say that their is 0% unemployment! now lets say 5 business go out of business reducing the total job pool to 60 available jobs you have 60 people working so unemployment is 0% according to the government the 40 now out of work are no longer apart of the equation. this is governmental math.

  • unemployment numbers are based on the total work pool that is the total number of available jobs, it you include the 2 million loss jobs, jobs that are no longer apart of the job pool unemployment it actually about 12% the trend you were looking at shows the fall of the job market,i.e business going bankrupt or reducing their work force thus reducing the total number of available jobs retirees represent an insignificant percent of the job pool.in 2010 over 80 thousand business failures.

  • There are lies, damned lies, and then there are statistics - Mark Twain

  • Consider adding the weekly non-seasonally adjusted Initial Claims for Unemployment. These are the raw numbers of people who received their first unemployment benefit. Since the depression began Oct 2007 to present the sum is 98,536,537. Since the recession began Dec 2007 it is 95,995,907

Either way this is a huge number considering that the maximum number of people working in private jobs was 115 million in Dec 2007

  • Unemployed, under-employed, not currently counted and not ever counted. Try to get a real number. NLRB and unions is another meaningful story. Thanks.

  • shadowstats knows what's up.

  • These numbers are so meaningless. They might as well have been counting people who owned a car of a certain color. Would have been just as useful.

  • Bogus employment numbers coming from the Socialist Democrat spin machine...?,,SHOCKING...!

  • it means pt jobs for xmas period

  • I wish the media would do a poll asking how many American's believe the 'Official Unemployment Number'.

  • numbers are just numbers, not much you can do about the statistics they provide you guys with!

  • @slobomotion You Rock! I offered my help in the other video as well. I hope some people here are serious about finding a job, huh?

  • For anyone in Atlanta who's into physical labor yet has the know how to improve a website, do marketing and grow a faltering but valid business, contact me and I will be likely to refer you. No promises, but I would try. The guy is honest and good to deal with, and again, he needs one employee -- cannot carry on all alone anymore. Too much physical stuff to do. You need a strong back for this job, a driver's license, a clean record and IT savvy. A blue collar nerd type, male or female.

  • they have been using the same formula for decades. it may not be accurate percentage wise but it is accurate in showing job growth.

  • you have quite a few VHS tapes

  • Hey DEMCAD thought I saw you on Google Earth! I bet big sis has you on her "Homeland Security"Watch List.

(walking round town with that back pack & camera so often)

I imagine the local cops know that your cool.

  • @1betrman "Oh, it's cool, it's just THAT guy." Lol!

  • Every time they dig a grave down at the cemetery the gooberment counts that as a job opening.(Seriously)

  • Good info. The latest numbers released were for November. This slight bump happens every year at this time. It's cause is obvious ... the Christmas/Holiday season (when many retailers staff up with temp workers) . It will trend the other direction slightly after the next report (in Feb reporting January numbers)

  • Thanks for breaking this down. Yes, we will see unemployment rise again by next year. In fact, this numbers fudging will actually hurt them. But I'm guessing they're just buying time right now, because by then, some bigger things are going to be popping off (world war, another economic Europe/banking crisis, etc.) that will distract from these fake numbers, and an event that Obama can then point his finger of blame.

  • There is a saying that goes...FIGURES LIE AND LIARS FIGURE. Those statistics are so skewed in favor of a false reality of employment it is not even funny. Everything is fine in america based on those numbers, but the lost in businesses, closing of major retail chains, shopping malls and UE filings tells what's really happening. The only fully employed people with job security are the politicians. Pensions, salary, health insurance, benefits...they have it all while the masses have NOTHING..

  • @YuppiePrepper THANK YOU for the breath of reality in this place.

  • @JOEYBLACKDAGENERAL You're grasping now.

  • I think most people are missing the point. Stop blaming the 'job', saying that it is poor pay, only service, or only retail etc. If those are the only skills that a person has to offer the economy, then that is the work they will perform.

Its not the job, its the person. There are high skill jobs dying for people to fill them, they just aren't the jobs that people want to learn to do. Except unions, people are paid EXACTLY what their skill & effort are worth.

You have to sell your skills.

  • i know 5 ppl who lost their jobs this week. all over some b.s. all had 20+ years in.

  • work 2 worthless job's and by supply's thats what i think, all so we are fuck in 2012 thx for vid demcad

  • @AccuracyMarked So you see America being in depression for 3 years before a global depression. Huh. Sure you want to go with that?

  • what do i think and see?....Global Depression 2016....Oh, Americas included. They can make numbers anything they want them to be...lies, lies , lies. We're always coming out of the recession until they finally admit depression in 2013. Oh, yes more more year of lies to go.

  • @JOEYBLACKDAGENERAL possible, I don't know how you can say that with certainty. Black Friday was the end of the month and it was a record weekend.

  • @1godthor if i owned a store that sold 200 dollar flat screens i would have a record weekend as well

  • I think that this says, we should have a lower corporate tax rate, and from the last decade or more, we pushed manufacturing away, like Japan. We are the two highest corp. tax rates in the world. Also, I think that the media in concert with the govt is once again trying to keep people at bay, trying to encourage spending.Europe is coming here soon.We will have to have austerity measures soon, and most people will be surprised. I always like your videos, talking about things that most will not.

  • ...how data is used in the propaganda machine is amazing...so shameful and dishonest...so desperate...how long can last as it battles with the simple truth?...we shall see.

  • Lay off a lot more public workers. And reduce taxes.

  • Practically minimum wage factory jobs too.

  • The government's numbers are bulllshit as usual. Who would believe anything the puppets in it say?

  • @starlitopensky1 Many, it would appear...

  • I went to best buy, SAMs club and lowes today after work. Every place was PACKED! If nobody is working, who the hell was taking out all those big screens, and snow blowers? I think most of those numbers are bums, not wanting to work.

  • @1godthor wrong the first of the month just passed welfare, ssi checks, unemployment and other entitlement checks are at work. most of those bums are spending themselves into happiness although despair is all around them.

  • Nice video! Keep up the informative views.

  • HAS ANYBODY SEEN?.THAT, DONALD TRUMP,SHOW..HOW MUCH AMERICA IS WORTH..STUPID..

  • I resigned my job August 28 for hardship reasons and moved to a new location. I have been unemployed since. I do not qualify for any jobs in this area.

  • When there are too many unemployed people a new type of job will be created: the rioter.

  • @agun17 Nah, I disagree. "most" but not all, of no balls. They will continue to piss and moan about it, but will never do anything about it. They will only "wake up" when everything around them has been destroyed. (Just my opinion) God bless

  • @agun17 how many years, of experience do i need?..full or part time? and is it job-killing ..sending our jobs oversea's..union..??????

  • Reggie - glad to see you breaking it down like that. Too many do not understand the stats. You have many subs who rely on you to do that - break it down. I think you help many folks by making it easy to understand. Keep up the good work!

  • Do they count those who are homeless, so depressed they no longer try to get a job? I know so many adults who are living on other peoples couches... rejected as "too old" to work, but too young to retire... along with young people who just live at home and wish they had a life... so many "invisible" people in this country... oh yeah, the really homeless ... are now families living in cars... with one parent working a simi part time job like Macky D's ... just to eat....and keep heat in the car.

  • The workplace participation numbers are the best to go by, but in general they all rely on Government department data which is extremley skewed.

Not counting long term unemployed in the "unemployment" figure is far beyond rediculous.

PS - I hate the new Youtube format. I can't remove stuff from my subscriptions like where the little 'x' used to be.

  • Time to buy a gun!

  • There is also the 'shadow' economy to consider- those who sell drugs and do illegal things to make money. How much has that number grown I wonder?

  • very good. I like backing it up with the actual spreadsheets and hard data. It is kind of hard to spin that!

  • @mattgring You mean the CAFR reports? "spread sheets" and "hard data"...you not supposed to see that, it's "tax budgets" for you...

from the U.S. CORPORATION that is the majority share holder of the FORTUNE500.

  • the job numbers are pure BS, you have to be an idiot to trust the goverment numbers, i bet its close to 30 percent now unemployed

  • I have a BA degree in computer networking and I work two shitty part time jobs in which I am underpaid. One of them isn't even in the IT field. Welcome to the new America. I'm not bitching though, because I could easily be a part of the unemployed with a family to take care of. Luckily, the only person I have to take care of is myself. I'm about to start my own business. From what I see, it's the only real way to make as much money as you're really worth nowadays.

  • @g0dh4x Yes, you are lucky.

  • @g0dh4x wish ya good luck geo. i 'm getting ready to start a new job in the aviation field which i have 10 yrs experience, i just hope it lasts. bobby

  • @g0dh4x You too? I got my A.S. in CNIT (computer network administration) in 2003. I am in school for my B.S. in criminal justice. I gave up on the IT field years ago in favor of law enforcement. Law enforcement will always be around, it's well diversified, and they pay fairly well compared to other jobs. I admire you for starting a business. I would like to do the same thing. I wish you well comrade ;)

  • arrrg, these f*cking "skip ads now". More circle jerking b.s. How many times can the "unemployment" scam be explained.

Just take this vid, and re-post it every time they come out with the B.S. "unemployment" numbers....

  • Give it enough time and everyone in the work force will be employed, they just forget all us that can't find a job that pays. What about all the people takeing lower paying jobs.

  • Putting my X-Mas lights up, sorry to hear about the hard times. What separates me from the OWS people is they keep thinking they can pressure/sway Obama to get rid of the gov’t corruption when he has Goldman-Sachs to thank for his entire office. Then they think after he gets rid of the corruption he can also somehow correct the congenital greed of most Americans in love w/ what amounts to laissez-faire “casino capitalism”. Of the 2 impossibilities, I’d argue the former is actually more likely.

  • Ammo

  • And they still give you a credit card.

  • ive been unemployed more than 15 weeks, its hell trying to get anything in this damn economy,Ive never seen the job situation more bleak in my area, heres what tells you,all you need to know,The amount of dollars in my town has grown, and dollar stores are ushed now more than ever,Ive actually heard this conversation more than 1 time in public,When I get to work,I be able to buy enough to feed my family properly, Now that is very disturbing

  • If 50% of the people are working in the future how are they going to pay for Social Security of all those retired people? Going to get bad

  • In the untied states constitution is states if the gov's corrupt then destroy it and institute a new one right? Please tell me I'm not the only one thinking viva la revolution! (had to read It because im studying the american revolution in class haha)

  • @XxN0TAPR0Xx Good topic for study. Viva!

  • its all a numbers game...by this point in the economic downturn they have pretty much figured that after the OCCUPY movement failure everyone has turned a deaf ear to the rhetoric. now since we got the SNOWBALL effect black friday and cybermonday they feel they MUST capitalize on the GREENSHOOTS of the recovery. there is NO recovery, Actual unemployment is 10.2% without backside fall offers...it is a shell game ran by propaganda played behind your back so you cannot see.NO RECOVERY its a LIE

  • i guess someone must be counting all of the unpaid internships out there, where you get the privilege and honor of working for some overcaffeinated micro-manager for free.

  • change bomb to com

  • change wow to www

  • The url is wow dot shadowstats dot bomb

  • I think you should give out the url of shadow statistics

  • If you live longer you m ust work longer. Since we refuse to recognize this economic reality will force it on us.

  • I did not believe this information on American unemployment either. We all know that the real unemployment number is 20 - 25%. The economy is in horrible shape has gotten much worse since Obama has been in office.

  • Trying to calm the masses by revealing false figures!...They wont get away with it this time tho...the people are revealing the true figures.

  • I forgot who was talking in another video, but they were saying that when the economy collapses it will be so fast you wont know what hit you. I tend to agree with them. Regardless of the unemployment numbers at the moment I believe within the next 2-3 years the ponzi scheme (federal reserve, etc...) is going to come crashing down. Hard.

  • From everything I am seeing it's getting worse. Everyone I know seems to be broke. It's a bit scary to see it in your face and from your friends and family.

  • Bureau of Lying Statistics, still lying what else is new...

  • New unemployment number: 8.6%. Economy improved. Obama getting it done. Admit it DEMCAD. Though we all know Spin Dr.DC gonna turn it all doom-n-gloomy.

  • @bgrim2008 oBama getting it done? no way its actually worse...dont believe it

  • @bgrim2008 getting it done? getting what done? putting the finishing nails in the coffin?

  • i was cursing out Pim Fox on Bloomberg radio this morning when they reported that number

  • thanks for using the non-persons term.. unpersons. we are heading in that direction..

  • They're are lying about unemployment. It is actually a lot higher than what they're saying. I also doubt jobs are being created.

  • just more bs junk numbers

  • I suppose I could find a job or get on welfare but I can't afford the cut in pay
