Problems with WinPC's is higher because the hardware is made by dozens of different, competing companies, which can lead to more chance for hardware failure. The reason Macs don't get viruses is because they don't run .exe files, in which most viruses are written. I am the most Adamant person on the Mac OS X vs. Windows, but if we just stop bashing eachother, we can go hate Mac OS, Windows, Ubuntu, etc., without causing heated arguements.
@whoppersrcool "Problems with WinPC's is higher because the hardware is made by dozens of different, competing companies" So you would rather have a company that dictates all its prices regardless of competition and rip of consumers. I will keep my errors that way I can upgrade a state of the art computer for less then $2000 not to mention heatsinks, water cooling mods ect. None of which you can do with mac.
mac os x is only $30 for the non-server single copy. All of the windows software is expensive: Windows 7 ($250), Office (179-249), etc, but mac software is much less expensive: Mac OS X (preinstalled into a new mac, $30), iLife (preinstalled, $70) and iWork (like office, $70). So that's why alot of PC's are less expensive: you really pay for the software, not tge hardware. On a mac, however, you're paying for reliability and well made product. Yes, some people expirience software & hardware pr
pc people have no lives and spend their entire day clicking on go mac videos trying to explain why they believe pc's are better cause they're poor and don't wanna make the move while mac people are busy recording music and producing albums.
@macsdestroyspcs2 So you're saying that more than 80% of people that own computers have no lives?(well technically you're saying that all computer users have no lives but that doesn't matter)
There's no reason for macs to be more expensive, the OS is lighter than Windows 7, you can get the hardware in any computer hardware store and Windows 7 and Linux based OS's are more flexible than Macs.
If you know even 1 good reason for Macs being almost twice as expensive as other PC's then tell me.
there laptop range are one of the few that have a combination of good performance, light weight, optical drive, long battery life and an anti-glare screen. OSX cost like a $100 vs w7 home wich starts around $250. mac is the same as a dell or sony, yet when sony released the vaio z with the same performance as the macbook pro less battery smaller screen and almost twice the price everyone praised it. (Macbook pro 15inch 2010 was $2200au and vaio z with similar specs $4000au) I have w7.
@macsdestroyspcs2 yea you just said it mac people are busy recording and producing albums and not everyone around the world is a singer dude , besides try to have the best games on mac you'll need windows copy for that
Macs are for lazy people who don't want to take care of their computers and don't want to pass up the opportunity to watch "Justin Bieber back door fun".
@OleVanDole I understand Macs very well, I've used lots of macs and every time I try one it feels way too simple, compared to Windows and especially to Linux you can barely do anything, the Mac does everything itself almost flat out telling you that it doesn't need your help, to me that's *really* annoying.
@JonBj2 You might feel it that way, truth is Macs are disguised in easy to use clothing.
One could easily do tougher stuff with it.
I tweak stuff, mess around in UNIX etc.
So no reason in saying they are too simple, they might even be more advanced.
Check a proper Macusers desktop environment out, my desktop is enhanced for my use and decorated with Geektool scripts. Feels like an alien spaceship, its wonderful.
Thats the great thing about Macs, you choose your path.
@OleVanDole That's actually pretty easy to do on a Windows PC too, I use Rainmeter to customize my desktop, I'm only customizing basic stuff but I've seen what other people have done and it's very impressive.
But I also use Linux based OS's, many(if not most) of those are incredibly customizable too.
i am on a university and i get win7 and lots of other usefull microsoft software for free forever. What about apple

"Future PC just froze"
If he time travelled into the future, then "future pc" would just be present pc (or PC), and the pc who time travelled would be called past PC.
If you can't get your tenses right, your shouldn't be selling computers.
