Thanks Austin. A combination of Graham's knowledge, a technique of determining locations in relation to the stops and a useful GPS which gives ETAs for the next potential locations and the quickest route to them. Simple really!
Congratulations on another great video. I particularly like the way you always capture the atmosphere of the area by the insertion of non-railway shots.
@steamontheweb Yes exactly, the scenery was there first; it is the trains that intrude on the landscape and it makes a real and dramatic difference to the shot (the anticipation builds) Very professional. Actually; better than some professionals as they would make it up with 2 second shots and drown the sound of the train with some inappropriate music. The sound of the train IS music! Keep up the good work.
Excellent days work Mike at fine locations. Some very good planning resulted in you being able to capture so much action.

@4beatlefans
Thanks. I think the landscape in which the scene is captured is an important constituent.

@stephengthompson
Thanks I would have preferred more shots in sunshine, but we had a few near misses as usual!

Excellent shots at great locations. Especially liked the last one emerging from the tunnel. Great work!

Thanks. We particularly enjoyed the tunnel shot too. The pavement was so narrow I had to make do with a 'lean-to' tripod and hope for the best.

Great results and thanks for sharing your hectic day. I went for the more leisurely two locations. Regards, John
