  • This is impressive, really impressive. Although I find that even the fastest typewriters I've seen type slower than me on a VK so not really that useful now, at least not with latin keyboards...

  • An explanation of how or how you're choosing Dasher, using the desired letter. It's an interesting video. An audio commentary would improve this simple tutorial.

Estou a solution looking for a friend who can not use both hands.

I hope it is helpful to him.

    Thank you very much.

    A greeting

  • Here I was just clicking and dragging with the laptop's built in mouse, but Dasher has a lot of options for customizing controls. The general scheme is that you move the pointer towards the next character you want to enter. They are arranged in a vertical wall in a predetermined (basically alphabetical) to your right and it tries to predict what the most likely next characters might be and makes them stand out more.

I'll try to add audio commentary or at least a synchronized transcript soon.

  • Also,

The version of Dasher that I had at the time only sent the text to Dasher's own text box, so to get the input into other programs the user would have to copy/paste the desired text. I have not checked out newer versions though, so they might have better integration now.

Dasher is primarily designed for the pointer interface, so it seems like it might be a good match for your friend. I was kinda slow using it in this video, but that is with no training/experience.
