  • How many views did this get after family guy had this intro?

  • How could i forget this series...classical ! Remind me those were the days when we have only black and white tv set...

  • Loved it! x

  • life on the prairie on my channle!

  • This show so much better than the vicious and confrontational reality shows

  • Children growing up to 'lady gaga' and 'privileged', as opposed to this, is nothing short of child abuse.

  • Great that the white americans put the indians on reservations or killed them off. If not, this show wouldn't have been possible....sheesh.

  • I remember the last episode when they all blew up the town

  • got to get this on dvd for my girls to watch, they will love it.

  • love this <3 still watch it everyday on tv lol..michael landon was so hot xD

  • had a crush on Melissa Sue Gilbert when I was a teen and she's still beautiful now

  • @Mack10001988 hahahaah i crushed on her too...damn sweet !

  • Michael Landon is my Idol, he is the greatest man in the world!

  • Can we have this back on tv please in the UK?

  • Aw, I grew up with this TV sitcom.....Love Melissa Gilbert!

  • gone with my childhood....

  • I miss this beautiful series more than food, it would be nice if the networks had a heart and put back Little house on the prarie on tv station everyone could watch in Canada and not cancel it again. There are millions of people who would love to see it over and over again it is the only decent show next to the Waltons in this century

  • why were the ingals always so poor why coulsn't they make episodes were they were rich for a change?

  • Oh I hate this show!~

  • didn't melissa gilbert state that landon took her virginity (in the field, on the set), when she was 16?

    ....no joke!

  • @podiodi

I have a very hard time picturing someone like Michael Landon doing anything like that! However, before the nineties, I would have had a hard time picturing Robert Reed turning out to be gay! So who knows?

  • You can sure tell this was shot in California. The grass is half dead, the town is dry and dusty, and they had to put plastic flowers in the field. It was SUPPOSED to be set in southern Minnesota, but Minnesota loks NOTHING like this. They have green trees, green grass, lakes, flowers. And they get RAIN! LOL Just get out around Thanksgiving and don't come back till Easter! LOL

  • In german the series called "our little farm"

  • Love this theme thank goodness for hollywood!!wat would life be without it

  • I agree tv shows today suck but lets band together and keep the old ones alive keep buying and requesting to sites to have them released keep it up do not download buy

  • @senatorewing

Reading about you telling people to buy and not download reminds me of a quote from the movie "Marci X"! "Don't download, borrow or burn! Buy"! Oh the memories!

  • My all-time favorite wshow.

  • "I love you half-pint..."(sniff)

  • I could never get over Landons hair. This was supposed to be 1900 or something yet there he was with hair like David Cassidy??

  • I'm searching for a clip that I believe was from the pilot movie of Little House. It shows a little modern day girl running to the library and checking out the Little House on the Prarie book. Can anyone help me?

  • G bisa lupa sama film ini......... I Love it

  • Still love this show, even after 30 years!!

  • mr edwards had his way with half pint he called her his little back door whore

  • mellissa sue anderson...i fancied you.

  • @nommynupple lol Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson)......I actually had a crush on her!

  • my favorite show--the ingalls are the greatest american family and espoused virtues that just don't exist anymore--or atleast fewer.

  • Nellie Olsen and her mum were the two bitches I hated most in the 70s.Both needed a good bitch slapping.Mr Olsen was such a nice man but totally pussywhipped.

  • I think Laura Engles Wilder was in her sixties when she started writing. Her daughter helped her..Rose Wilder Lane has a rather unusual life too!

  • My god, this series ran FOREVER!!! thank god for satellite TV.

  • Hmmmm.....nothing in here mentioning Michael Landon's chronic bedwetting issues (Rest in peace though)..

  • This was a really clean wholesome family show. One of the greatest show ever produce and shown!

  • I loved the episode where Michael Landon flipped out after the Indians stole his corn and him and Mr. Edwards and Nells slaughtered the Indians and scalped them.

  • I miss these shows, "Highway to Heaven" was another favorite of mine. This was progress, today's television is just shameful.

  • I used to fancy Melissa Gilbert like crazy when I watched this as a kid.. Her and all three of Charlie's Angels.. Oh, and don't forget The Bionic Woman..

  • En la Argentina se repitieron por muchos años esta serie pero ya no la pasan.

  • One of my favourite show......thank you for posting

  • I always thought this was filmed in the 1800's...you're telling me it was made in the 70's and 80's?

  • Is this how life was way back in 1994

  • they still play this on english tv most days feckin love it

  • I loved this series, still do. Read the books again just recently. Was devastated to find out Landon was nothing like his character in real life lol

  • And plus he had a stiff peter.

  • Man...this takes me back.

  • I always hated to see Carrie fall down it made me so sad for sum reason! idk y it just did

  • always remeber me watching it with me nan, bless her she's with angel...

  • there was nothing nasty about this show I used to love it as a kid

  • Wait for it....wait for it.....There she goes!! Flat on her face

  • wow! i used to watch this lol.

  • "LOST" TV producers NEED to create quality shows like this ASAP!!!

  • Memories of my childhood.

  • This intro is okay, but I wish they had updated it over the years. I mean, Carrie probably wouldn't have fallen when she got older, plus they did have another daughter later on who could have been the one to fall!

  • ich habe alle Folgen mind. 6 Mal gesehen. KLASSE

  • one of my childhood best tv show..thanks Dee.

  • thats a fine little blind gal u got there ingALS..hahahahaha then he sucka punched the dude

  • I still get teary watching this intro! lol

  • Great show, wholesome. Most of the stuff on tv today is pure CRAP.

  • This is actually a fun serie. should watch it when your bored

  • This brings back such warm and loving memories I almost want to cry. Wonderful show!

  • you know what was a great episode of this show?

    Shitting in the Woods

when she has to find something to wipe with cause pine cones hurt too much

and then she looks down and realizes she's been using poison oak...

    ahhh good times.

  • best show ever

  • Michael Landen was a Jew wasen't he?

  • memories...

the best memory of this show is in this intro when the little girls falls^^

  • i love this show, michael landon forever

  • The music of David Rose is very catchy and moving.

  • wonderfull show!!! GREAT!

  • People tell me I was born in the wrong century! If I had my way this'id be my way of life! I already do half the stuff in my life the way they did. If we'd ever have another Depression in this country as bad as, or worse than, the 1930's what would most people do if they suddenly couldn't run & grab something off the store shelf whenever they want it? How many today know how to do HALF of what "great grandma" used to? Most of that wisdom is sadly lost in history.

P.S. I love my homemade soap!

  • This is so Orowitz-ful !!!

    so Orowitz-ic !!!

    ( Orowitz = real name of M. Landon )

  • It's really the best show ever made!

Every episode had something to learn, or a message.

  • you're right!!!

  • That was the whole problem with it. It was too preachy.

  • Wonderful show!

  • michael landon was pretty badass when he got mad. When those two drunks spilt Caroline's basket of eggs, he kicked their asses. Great show.

  • i'm reading this book!!

  • we need more people like Michael Landon! tv is so bad today! RIP Mr.Landon

  • @serilopr He was too young when he passed away.

  • Actually he wasn't because he actually admitted he deserved to die.

  • @serilopr ...Amen !!!

  • @serilopr

I will have to agree with you that TV today is pretty bad! However, one person who I would like to see more people like is Helen Hunt! Someone like Lea Thompson would be pretty nice too!

  • Poor Michael Landon RIP.

He was great, it's so sad he died that way.

  • oh yeah, old time favorite TV series, I was baby when I watch this

  • love this theme

  • This is my all time favorite theme.

  • In the closing credits (just before the end, I think) Melissa Gilbert holds her arms straight and imitates an airplane. I guess that's one 19th-century girl who could see into the future.

  • This Show ,, I truly Love !!! I'm an older ,mature , semi-professional man (who's single), who grew up watching this sitcom..... This show defined to me The principles of living a Descent, Honest ,god-fearing life style .... Always to show Gratitude for the simple things,, and to Help others ....

  • please tell me the music on this video!

  • The show ran from the mid 70's to the early 80's (That version was called "Little House: A New Beginning).

  • Darn...this is so beautiful! Every time I hear this song it almost makes me cry.

  • Was tht girl supposed to fall

    Down? Lmao

  • Las lagrimas se me salen de los ojos, ese programa lo veia con alguien que ya no esta en este plano. Como pasa el tiempo. Gracias por compartir.

  • thats a fine little blind gal u got there ING GALLS...that was my part. i aint gonna front what i like about the show was the ingall family's morals.

  • Hands down one of my favorite shows ever. FOrget what's on TV today.

  • This show began when I was born and I watched it on tv many times as a child. A great historical piece about pioneer days in America as seen through the eyes of a young girl.

  • ill get you Nellie olsen

  • que nostalgia mas grande me produce ver esto por

  • this makes me cry. bring back the 80s

  • i thought the show started in the 70's im too young to know anyways

  • it did, but ran for years

  • Most times...Michael Landon was drunk on the set according to Half Pint...

  • This really warms my heart and makes me long for a time when there were some good people in the world.

  • So good!

  • hehehe im watching this show now.. :D

  • Wow ....brings back fond memories when I was young .....

  • Kult!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • While I found the show charming originaly it became harder to see as time went on.Especially in the final years-one of the daughters was married, one was a teacher-and we still see the opening with them as little kids running through the tall grass!

  • i have all these books :)

  • Never got onto this show when it was on but really got into the reruns in the mid 80's.

  • Rip Micheal Landon. Such a great Talent.

  • szerettem :-)

  • juj de imádtam: D

    * * * * *

  • I wish I could be an 8 year old kid again viewing this for the 1st time. As much as I adore this show, I just can't enjoy it anymore now that I know the lines better than the actor did!

  • Il telefilm preferito di quando ero piccolo, quanti ricordi...

  • which season is this intro from??

i'm just wondering because they are all different.

  • I like this serie ! I am hungarian !

  • I once met Melissa Gilbert on a TV movie set in Toronto in the mid 90's while working as an extra, she was still sweet as ever. One of my favorite shows as a child.

  • Recuerdos de una infancia feliz

  • listening to that music you can tell its so 1974

  • Where can I find that last episode of Little House on the Armaggedon? You know the good one where they almost get into a gun battle with the rich politiicans and bankers of the Bush Family. Little House on the Thermopylae hahahahahaha. I want to watch that episode. I think they could have beat the corporate guys but obviously not the Federales.

  • I believe it was the first episode when Laura sucks her big toe, do you people remember that? ..aahh the memories. ROFLCOPTER!

  • Very beautiful show.. every episode was worth watching.. from the time the big sister got blind to the times when they got grown up and left to get married etc.. really awesome show..

  • ...she probably got no danger money for the tumble either, I'm no sadist, but that was my favourtie part of the show's intro cause it was funny. I bet the producers had a laugh, that's why they kept it in (i mean she got up again which is cool)

  • They also did it 'cause she's a little girl and that's just cute!!!

  • that was a very sad series

  • ...oh yeah, the face plant of that little girl was like FAAAAARRRKKK HEAVY DUDE THE HILL'S TOO STEEP I CAN'T STOP FUCK I'M GONNA CRASH, you'd never see that these days, sue city man!

  • i loved that show when i was a kid...thats a mad/sad intro..where were they running too??:P

  • Yeah that's a cool question, it's like they're running to supper but the soup is getting cold and shit our little sister just fell over.

I hope the bastards didn't leave her behind for the prarie dogs, she doesn't deserve a fate like that despite the harsh times of that era!

  • thats a cool as answer...but they couldve been running to the shop to get some lollies and the little sister had all the cash and the weight of it made her stack...

  • ...well now that we're dominating these comments lol, I may as well add that in the day, gold coins to buy lollies at shops in a prarie town would of weighed a fair bit especially when you're out of control on a steep grassy slope!

  • lol...dominating these comments...for sure..wattlegrove i think the town was called...the little sister was travelling way too fast ..the fall was inevitable...lol

  • I always thought it was when they're first arriving at Plum Creek, and the kids are excited to get out of the wagon and explore their new home.

  • ...oh that little girl just went splatso on her face down that hill...out of control she was, fuck me dead that was face plant material, the poor little thing!

  • These dogs just went bizerko, I seriously was going to pay a guy at the Korean restraunt $100 to get them whilst their owners were away and put them on a tanker at the harbour or cook them whatever.

  • Best TV series EVER ... hands down. I cry like a little beeyotch every time I watch this ... and I'm 37!

The Waltons, too, to an extent ... "they" just don't make good TV like this anymore.

  • who the hell do you think you are.he was a better man than you.

  • My two elder sisters caned my ass so they could watch this instead of letting me watch swap shop.

  • RIP Michael London ...

  • giannare mh klais agori mu!!!!tha sou parw glifitzouraki!!!!!!!kai ton makh!!!

  • i just watched the intro to see the lil girl take a face dive........thats the ONLY thing i remember of this show......oh.....and the dad used to have a lyconthrop problem
