Conan didn't even get a chance with the Tonight Show gig... I'd say that it usually takes 6 months to a year for a show like that to get in a groove. - Maybe you should try watching Conan's show on TBS again now that he's more comfortable.

If you feel like it, you can look you can watch seasons 3 to seasons 5 and see how many times he's been credited on the show during that period.

absolutely. I was kind of happy this mess happened because i figured even at fox he'd be more free to do what he wanted. Look at the shit "Family Guy" gets away with at 9pm/8 central. Conan is funny, but its a very absurd kind of humor that won't stretch across all demographics. Old people don't get him @ all, and its seems that's the majority demographic.

Sorry, but this is the real world. Conan had his shot. He averaged less then half the viewers Leno averaged with the Tonight Show. That proved to big of a loss for the network to handle. The only person to blame for that is 'Coco!'

I'm not making excuses for NBC, as I see them screwing Leno 5 years ago. But in this case they gave Conan a shot, they stood behind him for the past 5 years when everyone was saying they were morons for ditching Jay and Conan's show wouldn't last. Conan's problem was that the naysayers were right!
Bottom line. Conan had a fair shot. He couldn't get viewers and the studio had to do a system restore....
The only "cry baby" throughout this whole thing has been "Coco!"

NBC's execs couldn't appreciate Conan. they're all decrepit with one foot in the grave and wouldn't know funny if it crawled up their asses. Leno capitalized off of good lead ins for years when he was hosting and that's how his ratings grew and stayed high. if Leno was so freaking great then why did his new show suck so much that it was canned and ruined Conan's tonight show with it? the only "comedy" Leno knows is making fun of others and even though that can be funny with him it gets old

absolutely. I was kind of happy this mess happened because i figured even at fox he'd be more free to do what he wanted. Look at the shit "Family Guy" gets away with at 9pm/8 central. NBC is definitely way more uptight- with their comedy at least; they don't seem to mind airing "Law and Order" episodes about a murderer who has sex with his mother and kills her while their in bed together. Yes, that's an actual SVU plot. And then I learn he's going to TBS, which is even better. Hopefully.

It should be pointed out that o'brien's brief tenure held a larger audience share than leno's first years as host of the tonight show. if the NBC exec's want only instant results they are going to be sorely disappointed...

Jay belongs in the Tonight Show spot.
Conan is funny, but its a very absurd kind of humor that won't stretch across all demographics. Old people don't get him @ all, and its seems that's the majority demographic.
I feel like Conan is getting the shaft, but NBC clearly made a mistake. The network is bigger than him. They once owned the late night slot, and they gave it away. Can you really blame them?

I don't know if anyone ever remembers this character that they created on Late Night with Conan, he would be skating all over NY with a big surfboard and all sorts of weird things would happen to him. In one of the skits the guy's surfboarding down the street in between cars when all of the sudden a huge great white shark hiding in a taxicab swallows him whole. That was hilarious lol! So was Andy getting hit with the big ball and chain in this video lol.

Maybe NBC should have paid Leno to not do a show. Better yet, NBC should have paid the other networks to not run a show from 11:35-12:35, ya know just to make it fair for 'Coco.'
Sorry, but this is the real world. Conan had his shot. He averaged less then half the viewers Leno averaged with the Tonight Show. That proved to big of a loss for the network to handle. The only person to blame for that is 'Coco!'

I'm not making excuses for NBC, as I see them screwing Leno 5 years ago. But in this case they gave Conan a shot, they stood behind him for the past 5 years when everyone was saying they were morons for ditching Jay and Conan's show wouldn't last. Conan's problem was that the naysayers were right!
Bottom line. Conan had a fair shot. He couldn't get viewers and the studio had to do a system restore....
The only "cry baby" throughout this whole thing has been "Coco!"
