She is now one of the greats. She is a GODDESS of music.. i live in Tennessee, in America, you brighten the hell i live in, thank you Filomena, very healing. Real spirit....
As a quasi-classical guitarist I love it. She is perfect. I love the Spanish romantic period and have become convinced that no one but someone that understands the Spanish culture could play it. That was Segovia's greatest failing in Williams and Parkinson.
Well its a classical, nylon string guitar... they in general have a brighter fundamental tone. The precise type of strings as well as the tone used on the guitar effect the sound. But part of what you are hearing in this video is the recording settings -- they are rather bright and hot, some effects as well.
admirable, no tengo palabras para expresar lo que se siente al escucharla, está totalmente compenetrada con cualquier obra que toque, fantastico.Felicitaciones
wonderful. there are a lot of versions on youtube. this one actually sounds like a lute. most play it like they would play a song written for guitar, or piano
@musicloveranthony I know has passed a year but I'm curious to know what you mean to" it sounds like a lute" because I'm a lute student and for me is hard to understand how a guitar can sounds like a lute, is like to say a mandolin sounds like a violin or a guitar.
I'm not writing to start a bad discussion I want just to know if for you (guitarists?) a lute sounds the same as a guitar.
@weskoki I have a different opinion for me the lute is really sweeter than a guitar, I mean the european lute the other ones sound like you said sharp and dry, but I have to agree with you for example when is played by a guitarist like Julian Bream that makes it sound sharper and dryer because is played with wrong technique and with nails.
My lute for example as really sweet sound and lesser volume but more sustain than a guitar so I found a guitar dryer. thank you for your reply.

it is a great interpretation, but this is Bach and has little or nothing to do with the Spanish romantic period, jus sayin.
