  • Ten house is just out side of world trade centre

  • Let me tell you. Some if not most of the FDNY firefighters are monsters.I worked in the World Financial Building in NYC.We had shit fire detectors under the raised floors and would go off at least once a week for no reason at all.Well we couldn't find a floor plunger to lift the tiles up.This firefighter took an axe and hacked the tile in half with one shot. These tiles weigh at least 80lbs.Whack,one shot and it was over.Got my respect.lol

  • Yeah, from doing a ton a research I have found that in fact 10 truck was first on scene, followed by engine 6 (located on Beekman St. just around the corner off Broadway) - Battalion 1 was the first chief inside tower 1 followed by Engine 7, Ladder 1, then Engine 55 from Little Italy was also one of the very first few on scene at the North Tower that morning. Squad 18 from the village also wasn't far behind on one the first SOC units on scene initially.

  • I love tenhouse. I'm also surprised that it survived the collapse of the twin towers on 9/11. I find it amazing. 10/5

  • i dunno if WE will remember but I sure the hell WILL

  • god bless engine 10 ladder 10. i have a model of E10 and im damn proud of it

  • some big dudes that work the 10 house.I worked in the World Financial Center back in the 90s and one of the alarms went off underneath the raised floor.Well,we couldn't find the lifter to pull up the tile for the raised floor one of the firemen takes his axe and with one shot broke the tile in one shot. Each tile,I beleive, weighs forty to fifty ppunds each. One shot, gone. All of a sudden they found the tile lifter to lift up each tile. These guys picked each tile with one hand.Big,strong dudes FDNY.

  • Murals on the side of Ladder 10 - Bravest Fireys in the world

  • @SonofthePhantom thx soo much dude !

  • Who would say the busiest station in NYC would be?

  • @jseabo77 It changes year to year but 2007 busiest engine 75, Ladder 26, Rescue 2, Battalion 9. 2008 Engine 75, Ladder 26, Rescue 2, Battalion 9. 2009 Engine 62, Ladder 123, Rescue 2, Battalion 9.

  • best station in NYC!!! Im just ganna say one of the BRAVEST STATIONS IN THE WORLD!!

  • @RCcustomPD dude all firefighters are brave...its not only 1 station its everyone that is firefighting saving people lives everyday those are brave people.

  • @jasonbsa I know but they are the best station in NYC!!

  • @RCcustomPD your opinion..

  • @RCcustomPD thx man so much ! I`m proude of that statement :-) god bless y

  • So first, the trucks sirens sound like toy sirens lol, and what's with the random guy doing a running jump outta the station after the 2nd truck haha?

  • Best FDNY Ladder

  • These guys r the BEST! FDNY

  • i was watching something on the history channel with video from people who were at the twins towers on september 11th and i saw that firestation!

  • ladder ten is a great lookin truck

  • i like the flag on the rig. FDNY is a great fire dept.

  • 10 Truck thats my future truck!

  • Force Security

  • I remember the overnights and standing

in the bay doors with a cup of joe

watching the sun shining off the towers

and the people coming into work

    Never Forget

  • I cannot begin to imanage how much things have changed for guys. When I see a film that was shot in NYC and they show the Twin Towers I tear up knowing that they're not there anymore. It must be very hard for you guys. God Bless You and keep you all safe.

  • It still shocks me how the House has changed.

    The mess hall was different

The new one is where the

    latrine used to be.

I remember Panzini and Lt Atlas and Sniper like it was Yesterday

    Never Forget

  • NYPD-APF

    FDNY-AFC

  • Find Em Hot

    Leave Em Wet

  • lol

  • Then transfered to NYPD

  • Hey stupid,

    FYI

I ran with the house (98/99)

  • Strength and Honor

    NY Bravehearts

  • hey sentinel fool, why do you continue to spam the videos with this crap?! it tells me you aren't a fireman with these generic cornball phrases.

  • with a ladder like that we will never forget the 343

  • 344 firefighters mate

  • ladder 10 is badass

  • thankyou for the deep insight

  • nice

  • awesome video a+a+

  • the best job in the world

  • i guess i thought the whole point of having a siren was so that it could be heard. if the federal q is too loud for new york city then that means people are paying attention to it haha. that will reduce the number of accidents from people not paying attention.

  • no kidding they need the Qs... the PA300s or whatever they use dont cut it at all. At least some are geting eqs now

  • finally someone agrees with me

  • @EngineNumber5 i think being loud in a city causes to many problems, i think it has to do with all the tall buildings causing sound to bounce around a lot, which makes it very hard for people to know from which direction a firetruck is coming from.....don't quote me on that, i am basing this on my limited knowledge on how sound works

  • I love the Tenhouse!!!!!!

  • awesome video

  • When I saw Ladder 10 in person I immeadiately fell in love with it.

  • actually i believe engine 7 and truck 1 were the first ones to arrive that day. They were already out on a call for a gas leak

  • Yeah, engine 7 and truck 1 were first due to arrive, only because of the gas leak. Not to mention, I believe they had a camera crew with them documenting something. Unfortunately, engine 7, truck 1, engine 10 and ladder 10 all got crushed.

Not to mention half of 10 house got killed, and their house was hit hard.

Feel sorry for them, they all went through hell.

  • I was listening to the tapes and the surviving members of the collapse were sent out to various areas to help out with other buildings.... Also Battalion 1 arrived as well.

  • @garf1eld029 i dunno if WE will remember but I sure the hell WILL

  • @garf1eld029 Sorry but 10/10 were first on scene, ive talked to guys at the 10/10, and in the footage you see their rigs already pulled up when the guys are gettin outta the battilion car.

  • ya right across the street

  • Is that by the twin towers???

  • That 1st truck sounded like a PA200 and the second one sounded like a PA300 .

  • The 10 House did not lose the most guys. They were the first on scene. If I am not mistaken some members actually saw it happen.

  • they need a fedral q siren

  • Damn straight! Get rid of that woo woo s**t.

  • Q's aren't allowed in New York City.

  • How come. Now that I think of it. I never ever heard an FDNY firetruck use a Q, and I go to the city all the time I never hear Q's. Damn I gotta pay attention :D.

  • Q's were thought to be just to loud for the confined space of the city

  • i thought that rescue 4 had a q. i've actually seen videos on youtube of 4 standing on the q.

most pumpers dont have q's because of the tall buildings, but some of their trucks to have them.

  • @rhyder28 4 does have a Q

  • Was the ten house first on scene to the WTC or did they lose the most men in the WTC

  • they were first on the scene, but idk if they lost the most, i know they lost men though.

  • the Rescues lost the most men they were the first on the scene also

  • Hey, is that siren a Federal signal PA300 or a Code 3 V-Con?

    Thanks

    Cyrus

  • It is a PA 300.

  • Thanks!

  • i'm not sure why the trucks move out of the station and then the crew gets in. wouldn't it be quicker to get in inside the station before the truck starts up?

  • They crew stand outside to stop traffic then hop in the truck.

  • they also have to close the garage door thingy. now some companies have the electronic doors.

  • ..wow.. I get chills hearing the sirens of tenhouse, it makes me wonder what that fatefull morning of 9/11 must have been like for them.... :(

  • 5555555

  • busco a MARCELO DEMORAES es bombero de N.Y. pero no se en que Cuartel. Soy Bombero de Tigre, Buenos Aires Argentina

  • FDNY...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!

  • I love the flag on the first truck. Very nice!!

  • Strange... I saw a video that Engine 10 was responding to a fire in John St. (sounds like) and the yellow lights on the back were round! But why lights on this Engine 10 are not round? And that Engine 10 uses automatic siren. Was the vehicle changed?

  • in 9/11 the truck was detroyed this 1 is the new 1

  • That house is across from ground zero

  • Why america fire trucks use her horns??

  • so they can clear intersections thats why the use the airhorns

  • ya see the person in the bk ground the last truck drove off?

  • Question: I had briefly visited 10 House on a trip to NY in Aug/Sept of 2000. I was just wondering how many of those guys made it through 9/11 and if 10 stills run out of the same building.

I only spoke to the guys for a minute and wanted to drop off a patch from my ambulance company in California. They were polite and friendly enough to us.

I always wondered how they did.

  • Oh wow, I just found their site - 6 lost. That is sad.

But like the webpage says, they are still standing!

  • yea they got a new ladder and pump too and i think they turned the old house into a museum

  • they are still in the old house which has undergone a big reno

  • there house was hit realy bad but they still work out of it and i think they lost all of em

  • Ladder 10 Needs A Q!!

  • I remember the engine 10 used to turn on the automatic siren constantly. Why does it change?

  • wat type of siren is that

  • federal signal pa300 (but correct me if i'm wrong)

  • i rember wen my staiton got a hole truck of new people we had a call it took us 5 min to get to the call i was pissed buy the time we got there we had crap jobs cleaning, paper work, ect.ect

  • Ten HOuse rocks!!

  • Just a small question but why does every FDNY truck turn there sirens on and the off. I have always wanted to know the answer so get back to me please.

  • That's just the way they do it, tradition maybe? And they're just tapping the Manual button, not really turning it on/off...

  • in stead of using a federal they just hit the manual button

  • it catches peoples attention compared to just leaving it run....in a big city with heavy traffic just running the siren people up ahead of the apparatus will just get used to hearing it and ignore it

  • u see em pull up THE FIREHOUSE ON 10'S LOL!!

  • do they have a powercall on the ladder?

  • 'Co19ff'...First off FDNY doesn't use Powercalls.

And if you're going by the sound of the siren...how in the world do you get the sound of a FedSig PA300 and Powercall confused?

  • The 10's

  • truck 10 has a badass lookin truck with the american flag and eagle on it. i'm glad to see that station is still active after the attacks.

  • This station is next to ground zero right?

  • that is right

  • liberty street about 20 feet across the street from the world trade center the tenhouse is still here .. fyi the ten house is only 1 of 2 fdny house that have the same number engine and truck theother one is engine and truck 52 innorthern bronx

  • I am a proud American running the NYC marathon for a fallen FDNY firefighter killed on 9/11. Please visit AndyRuns(dot)com and pass it on. Thanks for your help!

  • I like the 10 hose i was there once and saw them go on a run

  • Hey, what happened to the bull horns?

There's nothing like hearing the FDNY responding with bull horns blaring.

BONNNNNNNN, BONNNNNNNN, BONNNNNNNN, BONNNNNNNN,....BONN, BONN, BONN, BONN, BONN, BONN, BONN, BONN, BONN!

  • never forget FDNY 9/11 343

  • I just visited Ladder 10 and was able to thank these men for their heroism on September 11. It was an honor and privilege to meet some of these brave men.

  • I mean the different numbering on each rig. Like Ladder 122 and Engine 231. It doesn't seem like two different companies are ever the same number like FDNY "tenhouse" at least not in NY.

  • do the ny city engines and trucks sirens automatic or manual , every video i see seems like its manually someone is doing them

  • yeah the officer and chauffer handles that

  • yeah theyre all different but what do u mean

  • Aren't the fire companies in NY different from each other?

  • there are 2.. engine 10 and ladder 10 in manhattan and engine 52 and ladder 52 in the bronx

  • I Love New York city.

I stood on the sidewalk there in front of ladder 10 at the ground zero site in 2003.

It was very impressive to hear the firetrucks and see the names of those who died on 9-11 on the trucks.

    Respect!

  • that truck 10 is sweet

  • try riding in it lol

  • SWEET 10 House is my fav along with Rescue 1

  • gott zur ehr dem nächsten zur wehr

  • i recently read the article in this months Firehouse about 10 house, i enjoyed it alot

  • 10 house rest easy brothers...ironworkers ground zero..

  • That's very different out there :-) Sometimes... But usually just short Sequences

  • do firefighters in NEwyork never do a full siren?

  • My best guess for why FDNY and NYPD just do yelp sirens is that there's so many vehicles in a small space, they have to be noticed. If there's more than one emergency vehicle, civilians need to know where each one is so they can get out of the way.

  • I took pictures of that rig last week:

    http://www.hometown.aol.com/musicms68/fdny-nyfire.html

  • Cool painting on the truck!

    Your Firefighters are brave people!

    God bless them!
