  • I think maybe less than 10 not sure. sometimes I get lost in a drawing, and just keep going and going, i think this was in-between 5-10 mins i don't remember i posted it so long ago.

  • thank you very much

  • ahhhh run! it eats humans!! ahh it got me!

  • that was fast!! you r goog!!

  • thanks but was time-lapse

  • crazy sick drawing man!

  • thanks a ton,

  • wow dude nice...can you teach me how to shade and draw like that?..i am very interested =)

  • You can accomplish this on your own, all you need to do is use your thumb, or a soft and inneffective eraser for smudging. then take a more effective eraser to the innermost sections of the drawing bringing out the 2.5D aspect of it, then imagine your light source and shade darker on sides that would be considered furthest fromt he light source, during a bright day watch a tree to see how the sunlight is affected by bumps and mounds on the tree itself.

  • thts a good drawing man...jst be a littl bit mre imaganitive nd thell come to life..

    keep on drawing=)

  • thank you for the feedback, it's technically a tattoo though so simplisity was the mo.

  • one question how did you paint the black thing you see on 00:10, did you use some special pencil????

  • i think he just used its fingers to fade some lines so you get that kind of black i mostly use that kind of effects on that way

  • Yea, thumbed the graphite

  • noce it cool

  • Thanks

  • that was great!

  • thank you very much

  • ok but awesome dragon

  • thank you

  • you drew it too fast

  • HAHA!, naw It was in Time Lapse, don't worry, I'm not on speed for this sketch.

  • its great...and the tongue makes it look great...snake like drake...awesome

  • Thanks!

  • nice drawing! but the tongue kinda ruins it. SRRY to say it!

  • No Problem, There are others who agree with you, however I disagree, but only because the longue snake-like tongue is unique to that particular breed of Dragon in my own fictional universe. Otherwise I'd remove it based on pop.preference

  • yes, but it's not I dont like it.. It's that the dragon looks way more realistic as the tongue.. that's what I meant :)

  • Agreed, but as it was a tattoo that I originally drew for a tight knit group of military personnel when I was 16/17 over 11 years ago, I think I kinda' meant it to be a definitive logo, even though it is representative of the Dragons in my Storyline, the ones in 'My Universe' tend to have their tongues actually conected to their heads, if you look carefully at this sketch you'll note that it's not connected, in a tribal fashion, the original was thick and Tribal-esque.

  • connected*

  • well i cant truealy say anything since i havent posted anything (i have a deviant art account)it lacks some detail such as the scales but still quite impressed.U focused abit too much on the shading =D well still was great.

  • Yeah Deviant Art is one of my favorite sites, this picture was a undetailed rehash of a pic I drew in 1997. So I opted to not add to it seeing as it's a 'organizational' Tattoo design.

  • an*

  • well that explains it all =D by the way u know of any good smudging tools?

  • YAhHaaR! "me thumbs!" matey!

  • I just use my thumbs mostly, what kind of smudge you going for I've heard of people using some pretty silly things before, damp tampons & such.

  • I guess you get people saying your great at drawing all the time yeah? and after a while it dosen't mean as much as it used to, but looking at this i dnt wanna say just "wow that's great!" i wanna say more, but i can't and it annoy's me coz a picture like this diserves a proper detailed "well done"...

    but anyway...wow that's great!

  • Thank you very much, I appreciate it, a little extra confidence can take me a long way.

  • no probz ;-) lol

  • hey. that´s kinda cool. no its so cool. go look my dragon and comment how make it petter.

  • love the shading, very long tongue though, he must have to roll it up or swallow it or something...

  • Think that's bad... the rest is un-visible, and is much thicker, 'My' Dragons, smell mostly with their tongues in my Story.

  • Oh... well, my dragons really arent snake like at all, they have bird like tongues, not split ones...they smell through there nostrils, and have owl like hearing and sight...

  • see that's the common seperation amongst creators today when it comes to dragons, one wants bird like features in areas that the other wants reptilian features, and vice versa... although I've managed to come to terms with some of the people I work with, it's difficult at times.

  • Omg ! its reay realy realy nice ... i wish i could draw like that

  • Thank You

  • Omg really nice! good work!

  • Thanks!

  • ;o rly good man :3

  • Thanks

  • great im an artist myself, but great work

  • Are you drawing this a whole bunch of times, or continually erasing most of it??

  • traditional fine art sometimes requires use of erasers for 'cleaning the image, sometimes I use erasers to smooth my shadin/texturing techniques, the man transitions you see, are pencil sketch-clean up-ink-clean up-detail/texture-clean up-shading-clean up.

  • Thats the best dragon I've ever seen!

  • THANKS!

  • Thank you for the rate^
