Do you know how long I've been looking for this song???!!! I couldn't remember the name of the group. Now I find out that I grew up literally blocks from the group. Wow!! Guess I'll check out their show when I'm in Vegas this summer. Thanks for posting this music!!!
MAN, TALK ABOUT CHICAGO MEMORIES......THIS IS ONE SONG THAT REPRESENTS THE SOUTHSIDE, IN PARTICULAR AND THE CITY AS A WHOLE IN THAT ERA. EVEN IF IT IS PLAYED NOW, PEOPLE FROM THAT ERA WOULD APPRECIATE IT. IT IS A HUGE STEPPERS CUT. MUCH APPRECIATIVE TO PAULLEMONIDIS FOR POSTING THIS GEM. JUST A BROTHA FROM ENGLEWOOD THAT LOVES GOOD MUSIC
Wow! I've been looking for this song forever! These guys were a great part of the 80s music in Chicago and can now be seen in Vegas! I think "More Love" is their best hit ever and the group can be compared to other soulful groups like One Way, The Dramatics, and many more. The originals, Samuel Thomas Jr. and Carnell Haywood, are some of the best vocalists ever! I lost my original tape of their recordings and would love to get another copy. You guys are definitely missed!
Sam thomas used to be the lead singer for the group i was in called THE MAGIC FOUR &THE MANTATIONS, This was back in the early 70's he was in grammar school and the rest of us all went to Calumet High on the southside of Chicago, we also did all the talent shows in the area with the Jackson 5 who had not made it big yet.
It has been many years since I have heard this song and I have tried to find it for a long time. Thank you for posting it on You Tube. Can you tell me where on line I may find this song?
OMG I finally heard this after so many years. I worked with Earl Shelby and he told me about this song. I used to love it on the Chicago Airwaves. I didn't forget yall Earl....
