  • The 2nd Coming of Blind Faith.

  • Good grief, this is BETTER than Steely Dan.

    How can this be?

  • Holy Mackerel what a great rendition of this classic! I totally agree that Jeff Baxter and Joe Walsh are dynamite--past explosive, just awesome. And what energy on the part of Simon Phillips. This version is up there with the studio recording, maybe even better, if that's even possible. As usual with Steely Dan numbers, the guitar solos are just amazing, and the fact that these two guys did it together is even more amazing. Sheesh!!

  • Freakin Awesome!!!!!!

  • ok boys, let's try that one again, this time with more energy!

  • About a minute in, the singer keeps wiping his nose..!!!..must be from that blast he did on stage during 'America-Blue Ronda la' previously!!!

  • Something very very wrong with you children...

  • ENTWHISTLE!!!!!

  • this is a graduate program in the electric guitar..skunk..yikes!!

  • this song, very hard to play and a challenge even to the most schooled players, is quite kick-ass here, given that it's a live performance. So very impressive and the two axeman - what can you say? Two of the very Finest players of our time!

  • @MsJollycholly right on brother....this is a great performance....VERY VERY talented dudes!

  • Does anyone know if this show is on DVD?

  • What a great band of musicians!! God I wish I could have seen this tour (did it even tour North America?).

  • @sprudo They played in Hawaii. I was there.

  • Great stuff!

  • I bet John Entwistle was happy to be playing songs with more than three chords in it.

  • @tyleryesta1

that might be the dumbest comment that i've read on these pages.

  • The fact that you obviously don't get it has to be the dumbest comment.

  • @tyleryesta1 he never let it hold him back though

  • I never understood how musicians, supposedly, the most accepting of people, want to dwell on someones personal politics.

  • @biggfingger5 because when they say 'accepting' and 'tolerant' they mean accepting and tolerant of alternative views and philosophies not congruent with those of the general public. as for views of the 'establishment', they are completely devoid of any semblance of tolerance

  • holy crap! That's John Entwistel of 'The Who' on bass!!

  • I've never understood how Jeff can be in such a hip headspace musically, but in such a f**ked headspace politically. There must be some serious inner turmoil.

  • 2:35

    jesus christ

  • Fuck Skunk Baxter. He supports everything the CIA has ever done: overthrowing democracies, installing fascist dictatorships, and fixing democratic elections.

  • @bapyou and he can play the guitar!

  • @richardanthonyheads The fact that Skunk can "play the guitar" does nothing to dampen my loathing of his politics and his support for the Military Industrial Congressional Complex.

  • nice outfit Joe!

  • Excellent performance. Had the opportunity to meet Skunk at the 1980 NAMM show in Chicago. Genuinely nice guy.

  • @ chimptor50

Sure you remember steeley dan .... "Do it again" a s o ....

  • Two of my favorite guitarists playing one of my favorite band's favorite songs? Wow!

  • Man where was I? I do not remember this super group. John Entwhistle is smoking and that bass tone is brutal!!! I don't recognize the lead singer, what group was he with? I just love watching, and hearing, great musicians doing what they do best, just wonderful!

  • Wow, mang ..

That was simply amazingly awesome ..

I've gotto see this again .. Yeez ..

  • Skunk has been seated since back in the Doobie days

  • damn thats tight. better then any Steely Dan live performance Ive seen and heard

  • @ELP71 -sorry but the May 20th, 1974 Rainbow Theatre version is way tighter and way better

  • What a song. Whys skunk sitting down though?

  • @MrGingaboy - skunk is practically what we'd now consider one of the 'elder statesmen' of the rocknroll axe. While Joe is still ambulatory - the Skunk just needed a rest to play those killer riffs.......

  • I loves me some Skunk!

  • incredible all-star band ... wow
