@RCBASHERTRUCK nothing, just the way I put them on. I guess if the shocks start to leak then they don't get as dirty because the oil falls away from the shock rather then sit on top of the shock body.

@axialviper that cage is awesome man! lol I actually made a cage for my 1:18 FJ Cruiser by AutoArt. I didn't use steel though. I used aluminum. Super gluded it to hold it in place, then soldered it. Now I'm working on a Maisto H2. So far I've got it lifted.

About how much does it cost to get into this hobby, just base RC crawler, body shell, things like that? I'm assuming these are electric, not Nitro. I have a Nitro Truck, but that's gotten pretty boring, plus paying $15 for a gallon of gas for it isn't worth it anymore.

@BoilerPainTrainBTFU $300, you can always find things cheaper but a good ball park to start is $300. Axial is getting ready to come out with a new crawler in the next few weeks, it going to be around $360 or so, for a Ready To Run.

Everyone in the club also has to vote on who's init. You would have to make it to club meetings as well.

@TraxxasTM33 yep, its a sidewinder. Mamba and Sidewinder are different ESC's but ya, you can use it for short course trucks. I use it because it can take up to a 3 cell Lipo battery :) lots more power and they don't coust lots of $, there only about $60 new.
