What I would like to see people actually doing is developing a player that will play HD-DVD AND Blu-ray, because they would probably make a very lucrative business - I have dozens of DVDs and honestly think its unfair to have to buy new machines, then my old stuff wont work - I would however be willing to purchase a player that I could still use all my old movies on, while also being able to play new Blu-ray discs as well
