@LycanValvaro i figured out how to make the car so loose it gets 170 degrees out, but really hard to control it

the ka and the sr are both very good engines

but the sr wins by a bit because it can sustain high rpms and not be damaged, its very reliable motor

the ka can be tuned to achieve higher rhp, and pulls strong.

i would say teh sr is a better choice, glad u went with that.

Hi there, great vids, have taught me alot. I used to drift in gt1 and tryed to adopt the same style to gt4 to no avail, but your technique works alot better :). Im using a Nissan 300zx (z31) turbo because i own one irl and love it to pieces, any suggestions for setups?

Drag car is built for drag racing. You could also call it a dragster but most people think of a top fuel car when you say that. Drag is where two cars line up side by side and go down a strait, usually a quarter mile or an eighth mile. I still am trying to figure out why its called "Drag" Racing.

I have played forza and I enjoyed it though it lacks a few things GT4. I can drift in real life and so far have had a hard time making a car drift like in GT4. BTW of course the graphics are better its about 2-3 years newer. Forza also doesn't support logitech wheels despite that they work on PC's. Not trying to start a system war, I just wanted to let you know why I think GT4 is best at present and the D1 game in second.

I'd like to but I haven't found a 4wd drive set up that I like for drifting. When I get enough info on how to do 4wd drifts I will make a video. I realy want to make more videos and alot better quality but theres alot going on in my life right now, soon I will have my own home and I will graduate tech school. Then I think I'll even make a video on DIY racing car style wheel set up on a budget.

Have you tried a usb to rca (red white and yellow cables) conector adapter. Easily avilible at any place that sells digital camera's. Then all you need is recording software.

Thats pretty funy, I've been wanting to make a video for bolth of those cars. I want to do a drift vs grip video for the corolla. I figured I could make a video of a whole bunch of cars I like to drift with and the carlton would be in it. But I can't make the vids till I get some new editing software, which is expensive and all my money has been going into finishing my car for Freak Show NC, which coming up on the 25th.

I never use e brake, it takes away from the other forms of drifting. Anyone can e brake but to be able to feint, braking drift or even power over take practice and it alot more fun.

Hmm, just noticed you power over a lot. Guess it's because it's an MR car, but with my Trueno and the setup you gave me, i can take any track right now only feinting. Oh and you are a bit slow trough the corners if you don't mind me saying. And yes i have done that course and it was with my Trueno, and unfortunately i did the corners at 60-80 MPH.

Ya you want to feint as little as possible whith MR and use brakes and throtle instead. I don't mind you saying but this is a training demonstration and its not my best speed because I want new drifters to have a good practice set up. Its my playing around file so I used the codebreaker to get every car in my garage, 1,000,000,000 dolars and all licences which I had earned before. Great file for experimentation, most of my drift set ups were made on this file.

It may be more easy but I doubt it be more beautifull. I have seen some people in gt4 that can blow me away at my best and by the way forza is considerably newer so its not good comparison. Finaly I teach gt4 drifting, if these people wanted to drift in forza they wouldn't be looking up gt4 drifting.

I'm still just waiting for the new GT, a friend of mine whose heavily into gaming told me recently that the prototype of the GT controler has a clutch and a H shifter and will be backwards compatible. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a big disapointment but then agian every gt game was revolutionary for its time.

I haven't played TXR, the racing games I've played are GT series, TOCA 3 and NFSU series. The wheel is expensive but worth every dollar, logitech force pro is incredible.

Thanks for the comment. I don't know much about mitsubishi's so I probably won't be any help there. I do know that you will need an entire rear end. Drive shaft, trany, transfer case (if 4wd instead of awd), the wheel hubs, cv joints and a differential. You probably know that already though. My MR's are usualy built on the edge becuase it lets me get the most out of cornering. But in general most MR's are hard to drift consistantly with because the weight shift of a MR is fast.

I think the main reason is because I dont have one of the steering wheels, I only have the controller. Now I am definitely going to have to get one..... I really have no choice. It took me a month to make my first drift run (drift on all corners of a track, i did it on trial mountain). About 3 years ago I knew nothing about cars like as bad as a girl, lol. Then my friend asked me if I like racing and he brought over gt3. I bought it at EB for $2 and it has changed my life. Now I work as a mechanic and tune cars for a hobby. I own three 240sx's two of which are convertibles.

My friend who showed me GT3 brought over GT4 with the wheel and when we raced he started drifting and I still remember the chill it gave me when I first saw it. I know alot about set ups because I have done alot of research on cars in general and anything you can do to a real car you can do in GT4, I also had help from my freind and the drift bible.

I have two files, one for cheats and one regular. I only cheated because I lost my first memory card. I used to do one of the rally courses for quick money, I think is was cita de aria and they give a toyata rally car thats worth 250,000 and you only have to race four laps.

The midget can drift on courses like deep forest. Theres only one corner I know that the T can dift on and its because its so slow you need a downhill for it to work.

I use a program called pinacle studio which is currently not working because of my computer. I have an adapter called the camera mate and it makes the connection between the computer and the ps2.

What are you talking about. Have you ever heard of the toyota Mr2? I didn't say AWD won't drift I just don't like AWD for drifting unless its in dirt. Go get yourself a copy of the Drift Bible and learn what real drifting looks like. Keiichi Tsuchiya is the best.
