Betty, it was stupidly simple and incredibly delicious. So fast to cook and you are so incredibly easy to understand. I might just cancel my other cooking channels and switch on over to you!
@bettyskitchen No I mean the food looked fine I was referring to the camera work. The last two shots of the food seemed to drag out a bit to long and it makes it strange to hear the background camera noise. I would recommend using still images and possibly some kind of music to end it on. Just some constructive criticism.
@1983hotmomma Yes it will be great in the oven. If you have a broiler pan, use that. If not just use a sprayed baking pan. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes, turning once--half-way through.
Wow Betty, you and your family must eat well and meal time must be such a delightful surprise every time. Tell me, have you ever had a recipe that didn't turn out well in practice as well as it did in theory? I've many a times tried to experiment only to have a barely edible dish.
@MissWynne100 Yes, you can prepare them as directed, and then put them in a skillet that has some heated olive oil. Just watch them carefully and turn them when they need it.
I noticed you said you get more tomatoes from one plant than you can use. Don't know if you have more than one plant, but here's an idea so you don't lose many or any (Esp if they start to shrivel a little). I take mine and cut them in half, drizzle with with some olive oil, garlic salt and basil {or chervil} then I slow rast them in the oven at a low temp so they are somewhat like a sundried (or you could ust do that...LOL) I like mine still just a tiny bit of plumpness though.
@TecViews Yes, but I would probably get it most of the way done before adding the French dressing. The French dressing might have a tendency to burn. Otherwise, baking this in a casserole dish or on a broiler pan will be fine. (Set your oven at 350 for about 25 to 30 minutes for average-sized chicken breasts.)
French dressing also goes well as a dip with pork chops. I found this out by accident years ago and have been doing it ever since. I'm not crazy about french dressing on salad, but it really does compliment pork chops.
Thanks for this recipe Betty, I'm going to give it a try.
Betty, This chicken looks amazing. I usually use a honey catalina dressing that I'm sure is pretty similar. Maybe I'll switch things up a bit and try this one out. Also, I was wondering if you had a recipe for a Chocolate Cream Pie???? Thank you for all of your wonderful videos...I look forward to watching you daily!
@yellowdaisies88 Thanks for your lovely comment! I have plans to do a chocolate cream pie at some point. I have several recipes involving seasonal foods that I need to do first. Thanks for the suggestion!
Years ago, back in the 80's, there was a recipe where you dipped chicken in French or Thousand Island dressing, then rolled it in crushed potato chips, and baked on a thin baking sheet. It was delicious, and I tried several flavor combos. However, I have NO idea how much damage (fat, cholesterol, sodium, etc.) was involved with that old recipe. Yours is pretty and looks so luscious!
Thank you dear Betty :) I've found it extremely helpful to wear disposable gloves when touching chicken/meat - doesn't get all under my nails and icky raw stuff on my hands; plus I can really rub marinades in :)
WOW 5 star meal Betty!! I'm certainly going make this for special occasions!!! Wonderful presentation. Have a happy and safe Labor Day, to yourself and Rick!! Best regards, Tony
I just wanna start off by saying I love your videos Betty! I've been watching for quiet sometime now... I love that you show that us Kentucky girls can really cook! :)
Have you tried this recipe on an electric grill? I live in an apartment complex and unfortunately dont have an outdoor grill, and I'm also trying to diet and lose a bit of weight. If you've tried it or consider trying it please let em know?
@BudgetMakeupBeauti I haven't tried this with an electric grill, but it should work well. To insure that it does, you might grill the chicken breasts until they are almost done, and then add the French dressing. Then just finish up the grilling. This will keep the French dressing from burning onto the chicken.
Thats interesting... I have tried it with Italian dressing and I liked it, I think I will try this one some time next week to see how it taste. Thanks for posting! :)
@lidsman2221 The dog is on his own (in the house). That's why he occasionally ends up in videos when he smells food being prepared in the kitchen. If we put him outside, he scratches the door, until we let him in!
Hey Betty, I'll definitely be trying this recipe out today :) I was just wondering, how do you defrost a chicken breast? Do you just leave it over night in the fridge?
@joiidee Hi! I hope you enjoy the recipe. Yes, I do thaw frozen chicken in the refrigerator overnight. You can speed the process up by placing frozen chicken in cool water, and changing the water for fresh, cool water for a few hours.
