it amazes me that they manage to turn what was billed initially as a discussion on offensive drug peddling art, into a on air sunrise plugfest. and without shame, during sunrise itself. i'm still laughing. bring on the sock puppets. loose stitching has to have more character than this brand of puppet.
what debate, there is no debate, this show is one big advertisement, no art historian, no art critic, no artist response, nothing,,,how freaking boring Using children in art is always loaded with double meanings and contrversary. Its a shame they arent giving the artist a plug for the art instead it is on a big add, and it is another big add for the clothes shop and an add for the artist who art i thought didnt aspire to that sort of thing..I must of read his work so very wrongly...doh?
If this was a news channel in the US, the painting would have been demonized (perhaps with an emotional side story of a young child addicted to some drug), the store boycotted and picketed (which too, would have been shown with an interview or two of the outraged people), and the irony of displaying something your saying shouldn't be shown would never have been adressed, or for bringing it up, the host would have downplayed the worth of the opinion of the guest who did bring that aspect up.
Sifl & Olly should have interviewed you Ben! A shot in the arm for this flailing show..teehee

The way the "experts" bigged up Sunrise was pretty lame.

I like that both the people they bought in to discuss the painting had the same opinion on it. They rarely do things like that in the American news.

yeah, well - i don't write the news. if i did, they wouldn't let it on television.
