@bgralh yep cause he's the only player on the team right..he's calling the plays, he's blocking, he's recieving, yep he's the one that lost to them...no dude, it was the team that lost. Whenever we had brad the only real reason we lost was usually due to bad blocking and recievers dropping passes and our defense being weak in stopping the run.
I Played With Brad In High School He Was A Monster Smartest Football Player I Ever Met And All American Gentlemen Wish You The Best Brad Chaney Cowboys Lets Go
@UltraVert he only broke the rushing records n etc in college. he wasnt great with his passing. but look at him now he is a great X factor for the new york jets. and he plays an important role with them as a WR. GO JETS
I tried rebuilding the Chiefs, so I traded for him, and converted him to QB. He played OKAY. He wasn't a Pro Bowler, for the first little bit, but he was solid. I got a better QB in Free Agency the next year, and switched him to RB, KR, and 4th string WR. He's pretty decent if you move him around a lot, really, and get him picking up yardage a bunch of different ways :p
Yeah; as games have went on; hes become more solid then awesome. I havent played his franchise in a week or so, but i think i had about 9-6 td pick ratio. You have to throw short passes with him and scramble outside pocket for him to be effective.. even then his arm str is to poor. He has Michael Vick like speed though. I really wanna see how he develops after the year. I switch him with pat white, who has more arm str but less speed. I may do what you did.
If injuries are on, and you're playing a hard-hitting defense, I found him a bit injury prone, so I tended to use him as a change-of-pace back, if he wasn't in as a receiver.
He's a very good third down back, though, if you use him right lol
Also, if you can get big enough holes in the O-line, he's fast enough to find them, and hit them (As you mentioned).
Smith will be the biggest Wildcat threat in the NFL this year, just like he was in '06 when the Jets used him in the Wildcat BEFORE the Dolphins did it last year. Smith is awesome, he's a good, fast, tough runner, and he has an arm.
wll lets see since pat white had a better team each year dumb ass brad smith had to do everything by himself if pat white was given the missouri teams in 2002 and 2004 pat white could not have done shit brad smith is better
I think there is no question about it, Chase Daniel was a much better QB than Smith.
Anyone else see the Rams drafting him? Think about it: Bulger's always gets hurt, he'll be available in the later rounds I'm sure, and hes the local kid, the crowd would love it!
He was OK. Had some issues with accuracy on sideline routes, but at least he erred toward throwing it out of bounds instead of picks. The offense was definitely geared around his speed, though, and suffered when they tried to make him into a pocket passer.
Also the only reason pat white will take the record is n the 2004 season they tried 2 force brad as a passer and he only had around 500 rushing yards, If he ran the ball like he did n 2002, 2003, or 2005 pat white would of never broken the record.
Brad Smith may not have been the best QB in missouri history but without a doubt he was the biggest playmaker EVER!!! I have watched him since that first Illinois game and it has been a blast watching him. He never got the publicity that he deserved.
i dont care what anyone else says, brad smith is the best player in missouri football history. sure chase daniel is a better "passing" quarterback but look at the weapons he has compared to what BD had. if t-ruck, chase coffman, and j-mac had all played with brad at the same time, he would have had success similar to what chase daniel has experienced
brad is a great person and he has a level head,he is one of the best mobile qb's in college football history and he has done that since he played football at youngstown chaney i played football with him there
Brad was a great running QB while Chase is a great passing QB. i like both of them and Brad was one of my fav platers and still is while hes on the Eagles but i have to say Chase is better.
Brad Smith is on the Jets. Nice to see you know football. If we had Brad Smith at WR while Chase Daniel was at QB our team would be unstoppable. We would score on every play. but if I had to choose, Chase Daniel, any day.
i love all the good talk about brad, especially since he's my brother. i hope they give him an extension and actually consider him getting under center
I was at that amazing Texas Tech game in 2003- glad I got to see him play in person. Smith is a wide receiver/punt returner for the NY Jets so I see him on TV quite a bit these days. He got a lucky break getting drafted to play football in such an incredible market. The media always talks about what a smart player he is. He'll probably be a good coach some day.
Brad Smith is without a doubt the best Mizzou quarterback ever, maybe player ever. He's been the savior of our program for the past 4 years or so. He is soo good, one week he broke the NCAA record for rushing/passing in a game and then Vince Young broke that the next week!
The sync is off on the video. I always liked Brad Smith though. I mean, I didn't pull for him when he played my Longhorns, but otherwise, cool guy. I would mark out if the Jets gave him a shot at QB.
he still sucks, and thats why he ended up at a 2nd rate school like mizzou. Even the stadium is a POS, nice rocks in the end zone, they make good seats if you are a hillbilly!
Vince Young, Reggie McNeal, and Brad Miller were all amazing qbs. McNeal and Miller are worthy of being NFL qbs. Unfortunately their talents are going to be used in the WR position.
Brad miller is a basketball player, Brad Smith is a great runner, but not a great QB. Reggie McNeal is only 5'10, so they are playing where they should be.
Would you want to be a backup QB or a Pro Bowl WR?
Oh man I should get slapped for typing Brad Miller. Are you sure McNeal is 5'10? He looks taller and I think he's been written down as 6'2. If anything, he's too skinny to play qb, but I think he would've been fine. You got a point though. I'd rather have those two become pro-bowl WRs. They're low in the depth charts but it's all good. Their speed will be exposed and any moment now, they'll be blazing opposing corners and safties. Brad Smith and Reggie McNeal will have their moment to shine.
Wish I could've seen him just once. I'm from MO but stuck in OH.. followed Tigers football for over thirty years. He is by far the best, a special player! Hope he'll make it in the NFL.
