@stalkervision - Yea not really sure mate, test was done a couple of years ago now, so what ever the version was at the time. I do make a note of software versions and serial numbers in tests these days.
Valentine 1 is the best detector. It is the most expensive. Although it does not talk to you, it screams at you because we all know by the time a cobra says something you've already been clocked. My V1 has picked up radar from about a mile away over two hills with the cop pointing in the opposite direction.
It did seem like you were going slower in this one than the one with the x50. I am not saying that the x50 is as sensitive as the v1 cause its not. It just looked like you were going slower.
We tried to sit on 55km/h (5km/h below the posted limit) I wouldn't get hung up so much on the "time" - but look at the land marks in the picture and you can compare the points at which the detectors first alert.
I plug the points into Google Earth these days to calculate the distances.
drive into the bloody thing!

all you need is a jammer

not an accurate test due to interference with one another

Why don't you actually watch the video fool.
None of the other radar detectors were switched on.

true, the sti, x50, and pro 78 werent on, just v1
rufnek258 4 years ago
OMG why didnt you switch them on im trying to find out why i should get the v1 over getting the other detectors
watchmyshoes22 3 years ago
When testing radar detectors, you only have ONE switched on at a time, because otherwise they interfere with one another **rolls eyes**
Each radar detector above has it's own video

did you have the other detectors on? because in know the x50 picks multinovas up from about 200m
lukeevans1978 4 years ago
Each Detector was tested twice against the camera, only one detector was turned on at any test to eliminate interference.
