I am a die-hard BMW fan.

I just took a ride in a hyundai veracruz limited and I'm amazed to say that I find it to be a better put-together car than the 1st generation X5. The interior was also much roomier and was composed of more pleasing materials. Didn't notice a bunch of excess plastic design work like Hyundai is known for.

Great little car! I'm delightfully surprised.

I noticed that Chewchew has been going around every Hyundai videos he could find and leave very bad comments. I have very good reason to believe he's not being truthful. I highly doubt that Hyundai, fourth largest automaker, was selling almost two year old vehicle as new.

I went to buy Veracruz and amazed what they were saying.. "we don't have any 08' left and have to wait 2 weeks for 09's"

??? marks in my head. It's june 09..!!

they were saying 09's weren't out to sell yet.. they were just trying to get rid of 08's

and I have to wait @ least 2 weeks to get it.and they don't know what they are getting,so if I'm Lucky I would get what I want(color,options) If I have to order for it, still 3 month waiting period.. and still it's 09 Same for Highlander too

I bought a Veracruz Limited in August '07. We love it. No issues at all. Great car.

what are you talkin about?! as a matter of fact, its not over priced and it doesnt have cheap parts like its for a 99cent store. I geuss you dont have one but its competitve with lexus now with their RX. So dont talk if you never had a Hyundai... as a new one.

The veracruz is a nice ride, but honestly, lets be honest here, you're getting "Lexus" luxury for way cheaper. That means that Hyundai cut corners somewhere to give it to you for cheap, they probably used cheap parts and materials in places where it isn't evident at first glance. The veracruz is the type of vehicle that looks and rides nice for the first year or two then all those cheap parts start breaking down and cheap material start wearing out and you're stuck doing repairs.

or maybe lexus charges you double for toyota parts... dont you think? that´s what audi does with vw parts :D but... ppl want luxury brand on same ordinary brand parts... and love paying more for it.

Weird. He's 6'. I'm 6'4".  I bought this car and with the seat all of the way back I actually feel too far from the steering wheel.
