You know the best part of this old footage? After each touchdown Harmon HANDS the ball to the official! No spiking, no dancing , no outlandish behavior. My how times have changed. Now if the ball carrier gets just a first down, you thing he just won the Rose Bowl.
No, the best part of this old footage is how it seems to cause hallucinations. TD1, the scorer still has the ball when the clip ends. TD2, he's just barely turned around when the clip ends. TD3, the receiver flips the ball onto the ground before getting hugged by a teammate. TD4, Harmon hasn't gotten up yet when the clip ends. TD5, the ballcarrier is still on the ground when the clip ends. There isn't footage of ANYBODY handing the ball to the ref in the whole thing.
Pre-TV everybody wore the same jerseys on the road that they did at home. The change came in the 50s with black and white TV, they needed to be able to distinguish the teams from each other.
Man the game has changed....I read somewhere guys like Vince Young, Tom Brady, and Matthew Stafford where bigger in dimensions than offensive lineman in the 40s-50s
Anyone know where I may find the audio recording of the entire game?

As the clock wound down on Michigan's 40-0 win, the fans in
Columbus rose to give Harmon a standing ovation. Such things don't happen often in this rivalry, but Harmon was a special player.

Forcier a dual threat QB? Ha! We need to recruit more quintuple threat QBs like Harmon.
Cromulus420 2 years ago
Forcier had a 50 yd punt, 31 TD run, and passed for 5 TD's in his first two games. I'd say he's a triple threat.
harveybullocks1281 2 years ago 2
I know and if he keeps this up my man crush on him will be at ridiculous level.
Cromulus420 2 years ago
yea Forcier is a beast for sure, hes a shining light in this Shit hole of Rodriguez's first year... but he is certainly no Tom Harmon...
