I feel the same way! I am tierd of planning + restricting food groups based on what I HEAR is healthy. I feel horrible on a 100% raw food diet. I have tried it 3 times for 6 months at a time and each time I end up feeling so sick (for all you 30BAD people, I was eating 2500cal + per day, so shush!). White rice makes me feel good. Eggs do too. But those scare the hell out of me since I have been conditoned that they are unhealthy...
Im sorry but I'm gonna unsuscribed. Eating animal products is not healthy and there is scientific evidence to prove it. I would prefer to have shot of b12 that to kill poor cows, chickens and fishes. :/
Wonder if it would be ok to eat vegetarian but only have eggs to keep up your b12 levels?I wouldn't oppose to keeing my own chicken and eat their eggs...(am cooked vegan..)
Thanks for sharing your journey so openly. I've been vegan for over ten years and recently added eggs, yogurt, and sometimes cheese back in my diet. It is an emotional journey more than anything else. I'm listening to my body and I'm glad that you are as well. I cut out sugar and all processed veggie meats too. I feel so much better.
I am experiencing this right now. I have been Vegetarian, Vegan, Raw Vegan for years and know I need a change, so I too am stressed and nervous trying to decide what to do that's best for my body. My body has been getting weaker and feeling ill even after consuming meals designed for proper absorption. I have watched you for years and do not hold anything against you, but admire you for all you've overcome. You still provide an inspiration and valuable insight. Thank you.
good for you, Natasha! I am so glad to hear you enjoy life and relax about food. this is what I am trying to do also. after 15 years I am preparing myself to go back to start eating red meat. I am actually looking forward to it. Love and Hugs from Toronto, Canada! xoxo
I'm glad you came out about this. Being into raw foods is a bit like being in a cult. If you don't do it the way someone says, then you are gonna get kicked out of the cult. What is that about? A normal person will use up all of their B12 stores within 7 years. After that, it's too late to reverse the damage that has been done to the brain. Humans need animal foods. Don't look as though you are embarrassed of it. It's what your body needs. I'm glad you came out publicly about it!!
Natasha, I am happy for you that your food adjustment has corrected the deficiency and that you are brave enough to do what you needed to do. You are still you and that's all that matters and you have a lot of wisdom to share with others.
I'm kind of proud of you!. Being true to yourself is the best lesson you could ever teach us, and that's just what you've just done. Thank you for being so brave Natasha!
i was vegan for 5 yrs and found that on my 5th yr i wasnt doing too well, i have a youtube channel too and used to preach veganism, now i changed my diet to almost the the exact same diet as you, local organic whole foods from all food groups except grains, and i feel amazing and now my viewers are throwing stones at me and hate my guts, its funny how that works huh? i hope all is well with you and congratulate you on finding yourself and your new found health
I cheer for both you and Natasha, Brandon! I follow both of you and I say good for you for choosing health over brainwashed dogma regarding veg/vegan and raw. Life is short, so let's not make it complicated. Veg/vegan lifestyle serves it's purpose and it has it's spiritual reasons and we felt good in that lifestyle as an experiment, but we can not deny our nature, unfortunately.
While I have followed your videos for quite some time now, these new choices you have made for yourself are no longer relevant to my journey. I respect everyone's choices that they make for their lives, so I am sure you will respect that I can no longer subscribe to your channel.I wish you all the best!
@Rawkstarmom71 I also can no longer subscribe to her channel. I'm sure her choices are working well for her, but since my diet is more like how she use to eat, there is no reason for me to continue following her videos. I am more interested in learning more about vegetarianism, veganism, raw foods, etc. I too wish her well.
I'm glad that I do well on a vegetarian diet and that I don't have a problem with my B-12 levels because I could not imagine eating animal flesh anymore. Also, dairy and eggs make me nauseous.
Wow, that makes two people I admired in the online world who have made the switch back to animal products. I followed Jason Feruggia for his advice and knowledge on vegan strength training and Natasha for general overall health and vitality. Both have now gone back to animal products within the last year. I can certainly understand taking the necessary steps to keep your deficiencies in check, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't disappointing.
I love that you eat a lot like I do. I personally eat yogurt, and thats it for dairy except a rare small amount of cheese because I am actually allergic to it, but if I eat dairy cultured, it doesn't make me very sick like it would if I drink milk products (strange I know!). I also love my fruit and veg. I probably eat meat once every two weeks or so, I honestly don't it THAT much. I mean on a rare occasion it can be nice, but not everyday
Listening to your body is the key some of these hard core raw foodist have deficiences which they dont talk about. They look tired and emanicated.Thank u for your honesty.Yes could u make a video on the egg smoothie
My cousin in 18, he doesn't eat any dairy products and just by falling he broke his collar bone 3 times already. Quite scary. I guess we need to eat some sort of dairy products. I'm quite worried about my friends who are vegan.
That is so wrong. There are other factors in building healthy bones besides calcium. For one many people are consuming things that deplete their bodies of calcium. The detrimental effects of consuming a hormone rich drink from another species far outway any benefits if there are any. Can you imagine breast feeding off your mom everyday? Follow nature and you can't go wrong.
Awesome post! Thanks for this balanced approach. We need this info. I want to start including more eggs and dairy into my diet. Though I prefer to still eat vegetarian generally.
I think that as long you have a healthy life-style (some exercise, being outside regularely) your body intuitively knows exactly whats good for you and which kind of food you need at the moment. So I think that there is always a reason why you feel like eating a certain thing (even if it's meat).
Finally someone who doesnt desperately insist that a raw-food-diet is IT if you get symptoms of a deficiency.
I think lots of raw-foodists just cant admit that to themselves because the truth hurts sometimes. I'm no saying that every raw-foodist has deficiencies, but congratulations for you for being so honest with yourself :)
Great video....i also went from 100% raw to more of a mix....i am still mostly raw vegan, but about 10%90% of my diet is cooked vegetarian and it works for me (p.s.loving the raw food challenge)
i've eaten no meat, fish at all for 3 years now, I don't know if I'm lacking in anything. However I do eat eggs but not often and have cut right back on millk to practically none for the last 2 years. How can I know what lacking ? I expect I'm missing B12......but I do feel totally fine
I won't eat fish, I don't understand people saying they are vegetarian and have a plate of scampi - imo it's just as bad as eating say 20 cows !
Hi Natasha! Fellow Montrealer here! I'm traveling as well (living in Australia at the moment). Hope you're enjoying Indonesia, I've heard it's beautiful there. I'm just wondering if acne is ever an issue for you anymore. Is it something you ever think about? What are you doing now for your skin? It looks beautiful and so do you! xo Marlee
I've been following you since RawRadiantHealth, & it's so great to see you've found a good place for yourself! I personally follow a vegan diet, but I'm glad you buy local! You look beautiful!
Ps. This video was a god-sent! Tonight I was so stressed trying to figure out and plan my diet... now I know exactly what to do:) Thank you!!

Anyways, if you are worried about your b12 levels, go to your local GP or doctor and ask for a b12 blood test. Its pretty simple. ;)
