The motors are stock, straight from the kit, and assembled as per the instructions. I'm only using 1 speed controller for all 4 motors to keep it simple
what brand motors did you use and how did you fit them in the stock position? ALSO, how do you get all the ESC`s to run together? do they all have BEC operating at the same time? thanks !
Well keep looking back at my videos, my new one is finished and flies nice. It's got a full set of lights, and working cargo door! Just need a good day to make another video of it
Ok, thanks for the advice. I haven't flown the new one yet, but it is nearly ready. It has a full light set and working ramp. Lots of work has gone into it, so I'd rather not cook the motors if I can help it!
This is a brilliant scale model plane right out of the box. Picked up one a week ago and have been researching the power and battery setups. Many people on the forums are using the stock power train setup with 2S LiPo between 1000-1300Mah and reporting around 12-15 minute flight times respectively. THE STOCK POWER SYSTEM DOES NOT HANDLE 3S LIPO FOR LONG!!! ...maybe 5 flights if you're lucky until the motors cook. Stick with 2S LiPo, more than enough power, long flight times and motor life!!
hey rcplanetim here nice job on the cargotrans.. could you please tell me what set up you are using... are you using the stock motors... are you using lipo or nimh battery? i plan on getting one in mid febuary... thanks.. looks like you were having a pretty good time
Standard brushed motors and propellers from the kit, but no Lipos in this one. I used an 8.4v 600mah Nicd, which gave around 6 mins flying time. I'm building another one at the moment as this one is dead, and planning to use Lipos. Was going to use a 3c 11.1v though for a bit more power.

I was a rigger for 15 years, just ordered a GWS herc after watching this.

I'll let you know as soon as I've tried it! It says in the instruction booklet that you can use 11.1v Lipo, so I'll give it a go.

Thanks for the answer.
But do the motors survive 11,1V? Don´t they get too hot and burn?

Do you use the normal brushed setup with 2x3 props and 7,4 V Lipo?
