For some, a "voice" in music has more to do with having something meaningful to express rather than simply pleasant sound. It's when something speaks to them. Like all art, it is totally subjective.

Part of the reason they stopped touring is they wanted to spend time doing things outside the band. Pauls concept of Sgt. Pepper was they were being an alternate band to the Beatles.

It sounds like the last time there was true community in the band was when they recorded Sgt. Pepper, which was before Epstein died. The trip to India didnt help either.

Lennon, Harrison & Starr resented Paul being the self appointed replacement then being bossy and dictating what the group activities would be starting with Magical Mystery Tour. He didn't endear himself to the lads by doing little like booking studio time then tell them late Friday that they had to be in the studio Monday morning because he had 12 or more new songs and no else was prepared.

They didnt need Yoko to break up the band, maybe whoever Lennon started pal around with outside of the group would have gotten the same rap.

This is a great track. If you have any problems her vocal here, you be must be in pure undulated hell listening the Bob Dylan, Tom Waites and early Joni Mitchell.
