Way, way too fast. Many of the beautiful words are slurred. Daude sings it at the right tempo and with the right sensuality. This is like gay disco music.

Meanwhile I've purchased "Os Afro-Sambas de Baden e Vinícius", the album on which I guess 'Canto de Ossanha' was originally featured and its name pretty much says it all. Thanks for your input, it definitely clarifies my question :)

Very, very beautiful. But what kind of samba is Canto de Ossanha? It's too "funky" to be bossa nova, too smooth for afro-samba, not so syncopated for samba sincopada... Could someone put some light onto my confusion?

I would still call it afro-samba. At leat i believe that was the "intention" back in 1966 when the album came out...This a modern version and it is a bit more funky (and less afro) than the original by BP and Vinicius
