@M4Multi Thats not going to work. You got a intel socket board, with a 1156 socket. It does not support the AMD cpu. You need a mobo with a AM3 socket and that will support your AMD cpu. And just to let i know most off the AM3 mobo only have dual channel for memory. so make sure to buy dual channel. you can buy up to two dual channel so that's 4 sticks of ram. You have to make sure that every thing is compatible and supports your hardware. don't just put random things together. hope this helped
@dexter1423532 nope mate, u can get any video card, its just the CPU u need to get thats DDR2 if ur gunno get a new cpu, graphics cards are fine im running a ddr2 cpu and i got a ddr3 gpu.
No. Any video card works with any ram. They arnt linked at all.
Just make sure you motherboard supports it. Ie, for a PCIe video card, you need a PCIe motherboard, and make sure you power supply has enough power to power the card.
why is it alot of people are still using those ugly assed dell monitors, cmon if ure gonna spend that much on a pc, then atleast invest in a better display to go with that hardware
@deathbox731 its not th make i have a problem with mate its the screen size, if you were gonna spend upwards £1000 on a pc i just think you would invest in a decent quality 16.9 widescreen or maybe a hd screen if you have the g-card
@codeShima Thats not true the i7 gives you Hyperthreding wich gives you virtual cores AND makes your computer much faster but it is a shitload omore money so if i where anyone who is looking to build a GREAT gaming PC for a good price and wants POWER go with AMD Processors because there cheeper and that gives you more money to buy better case mother board hardrives power supplys graphics cards and cool mods like cold cathoids so try out an amd phenom 2 x6 its a 6 core not a quad like an i5/i7.
@andrewisflyyy dude i5 and the i7 (1156 Version) doesn't have hyperthreading and mobos are actually cheaper than average am3 boards. and i5 is cheaper than any x6 amd processor.
@MrTerminator68 ok well fuck the hyperthreading amd x6 is still cheaper then i5 and you can get a motherboard that is simmular to one the i5 takes for cheaper
hello~im thinking bout building one too, this will b my first time building a comp so can someone check to c if i have all the rite stuff? CPU: intel core i5 750 MB: EVGA P55 FTW 200 motherboard RAM: corsair xMS3 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM Hard drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB DVD Burner: ASUS DRW-24B1ST DVD burner Case: Cooler Master HAF 922M ATX mid-tower Power Supply: Cooler Master RS650-ACAAE3 GX Series Vid card: Radeon HD 5850 network card: (i duno yet) m i missing anything else?
theres no difference between the 955 be and the 965 be other then the fact that the 965 is overclocked. Thats all. The extra 20 isnt worth it. The only reason i have a 965 is coz for some reason when i ordered my 955, they gave me the 965.
@ndogg360 ATI is better than nvidia in terms of cost and quality, most ATI radeon HD cards are great cards, you cant be too sure with nvidia, plus NVidia is expensive.
@ndogg360 hahahahhaahahaha you almost got me there bahahahaha, ati cards fail, besides they dont except lower wattage, nvidia cards, if it says minumum 550 wat, it will except a 350, sooo ya i tried it with ati and ummmmm NOTHING, sooo ya fuck ati :P
@Legoman0323 while i don't have high end stuff, i do have an agp 2600pro hd 256 mb. it's mated with a p4 3.0 and 2 gig of ddr1. i also have a dell with the same cpu, 2 gig of ddr2 and a 7600gs pci-e. the ati card is hands down the better card. from what i've seen on passmark, the nvidea is supposed to be better. it isn't true though. ati is much better. it seems to be a pattern in my experiences. the nvidea cards i have had have been over rated and the ati cards have been the "solid performers"
What's a good price for a graphics card, I'm getting an ASUS RADEON 5870 HD, no ATIs available in the store. My motherboard is a MSI 975x platinum powerup edition. I'm also getting 8Gb of RAM
The Asus Radeon HD 5870 is ATI. I would just get 4GB ram. You wont notice a difference with 8GB. Unless you plan on doing some really memory intensive work, but for gaming, 4GB is more then enough.
I7 is better but AMD is cheaper, eg you gotta pay more for mb if you go for i7. I recommend the amd because you probably won't notice the performance difference in every day usage.
i have 1 question im trying to pick :an alienware aurora or my own built computer wich will be better performance wise and price wise please give me a resond
@supergyl build your own for much much much better performance to price ratio compared to an alienware. with alienware, you pay a lot for the brand (and build quality too, but mostly for the name). Honestly, you could get equal performance for hundreds less.
@supergyl deffo build ya own .. been looking into building V buying . and the saving is huge . not to mention you can have what u want in it. ie a mobo that has more grfix power or one for more data transfer etc yada yada.. also i would go intel .. they have the edge for sure atm... .. im looking at 800 quid for my build ( best prices.. and 1st own build) same set up would be 1300 on shop front .. need i say more :)
it takes awhile 4 ur mobo 2 loadup aye? seems a bit too slow 4 me. but it looks great. i like the intake/exaust setup. the more fans the better.(if your going air cooled). Can i ask why u picked home premium over ultimate?and is it 32 or 64 bit?
Granted, this video was made 5 months ago. But $2100 is insane for this build. I just threw together a list of all the exact components you bought on newegg and the total is $1367.86. On the very outside, at the rate that prices drop on computer parts, this should have only cost you $1700 MAX in April or May. No disrespect to you at all, but someone overcharged the hell out of your parts.
Could have been alot better, specially if you were going to run raid might as well do it with a couple of ssd's and then just get some nice wd 1tb for storage. but not bad for a first build.
i went for the same graphic cards and i regret it, i should have taken the 5970, its way better than 5870x2 especially for starcraft 2 when u play 2vs2, you get lots of lagg and like 10fps
Bro you could've bought H50-1 Liquid cooling system by corsair. It's cheap. Why buy a high performance air fan when you can get a non maintenance Liquid cooling system.
I basically made the same build but with a 5770 instead and a 750 watt psu. Which should be a difference of about $100 for the gpu and $50 for the psu. I spent $770 for it all and you spent $2100? Really?
lol i have to say its a nice pc but i built mine around the end of 2009 (same cpu, 8 gig hyperx ram, hd 5770 vid card, 4.5 tb hdd space) and that set me back around $900 in Australia, for your system it would of cost about the same if you knew where to buy the stuff from, nice system anyway but it cost WAY to much
Hi im building my first gaming pc any advise would be usefull Mobo - Asus rampage 2 extreme ATX-IX58-LGA1366 Case - Coolmaster HAF 932 CPU - intel core i7 930 2.8 GHz GPU - Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 2GB-GDDR5 SDRAM RAM - Corsair dominator 6GB;3x2GB memory - DIMM 240 - pin - 1600MHz Bluray- Samsung SH-b083L HDD- western digital caviar black 1TB internal hard drive-600mbps-7200rpm OS- windows 7 ultimate 1 PC Monitor- Asus vw266h any opinions?could this run crysis in max?

@Revanchist8525 ya its normal that my CPU cooler is like that. i had no chose but to do it that way. And for performance well i have no problem but i would like it to be vertical (i think that vertical would give better performance). Anyways its still a really good CPU cooler and i think its only 60-70$
@XxMATMADxX ok thx cuz i hve a zalman cnps10x performa and the amd bracket it came with didnt work right to hold the cooler so i used the default bracket and it turned vertical
@MrPrunecandy the headset is good not the best. but it is realy comfortable. some times when im playing a game, it seems to me that the volume is low but its overall good.the mic is nice. i just had to change the volume of it in the control panel. minimum i would give is a 6/10, max would be a 7,5/10.
@Zavdak yes. 1 1/2 XD. I like it but i cant put it vertical because of the AMD bracket.
Because of it i dont think i can fit a RAM cooler. Dont really need one, I just like to get all my stuff cool. I still like the CPU cooler thought. I heard that it is maybe better then the coolermaster V8 and its also cheaper then the V8.
