Gbenga did this song as his wedding song (for his wife) and as a part of his wedding invite. He is the forth born of the Adenuga family while Wale Adenuga (today o) is first.
Its a beautiful piece. Enjoy it and stop trying to be overly critical and analytical of it.
lovely music, great tune, it good to preach the coming of jesus christ in a wedding ceremony. God continious strength and power.great Job. thank 2 uploader.
@funlayo....its a wedding song. Listen to the lyrics its not that complicated to know that this's a wedding song not for our Lord Jesus. No offesence.
You all get the meaning of this songs wrong. Now let me explain the meaning of the songs to you all. Oko iyawo(husband) in this song is Jesus Christ and all believers are the wives. Jesus Christ is going to appear in the cloud in his second coming. Gbenga Adenuga is expecting the second coming of Jesus Christ. It is not a contemporary wedding ceremony. God bless you all.
Gbenga Adenuga (and I really have no idea if he is the same as the Wale Adenuga of gospel music) has the same voice as Blackman Akeeb Kareem. In this song it's obvious it's a voice that would be perfect for juju music; elsewhere the singer is quite masterly handling gospel in English. (Here again I must say I'm not sure if I'm still talking about the same person.) I hope whoever is the singer (or both) would be humble and nurture their voice to fruition: we could do with accomplished vocalists!
this guy has lost the plot in my view, i keep checking his music profile and he just doesnt get it. if he is gay he should come out with it, how could a musician lead a song about oko iyawo, where in his lyrics he is talking about oko iyawo mo mu rati re, maybe its me but that just sounds ifey
all im saying is he should have gracefully handed such a wonderful piece to a female lead singer. then to put his stamp on the piece could have come out with his role to please the female intiations, with his ajasa of iyawo mi toto and the second lead of oh my baby lead that he uses to finish the track off
all i am saying is for such a wonderfully written piece he should have gracefully handed the first 2 leads to a woman to place more emphasis on the interpretation of his lycris , lagbaja and others do the same and surely you know why they do, and he could still put his stamp on the song with his last lead where he goes on about oh my baby. come on if it was performed life on stage you could still make exceptions but on a record dats just pushing it ain it

You are entitled to your opinion but i think you're viewing things from the wrong aspect.
He's not gay. He's just singing a song that you can play at a wedding and there's nothing more to it. I don't see anything wrong with this.
