Great compilation of films and so memories. Love to know what (and where) some of those bits come from - ex : the last bit with Beefheart playing his soprano.

I hope that one day someone can get some of this stuff sorted out in order and release it. It would be lovely to see a real documentary with various interviews from then and of course now - before his old band mates disappear. The best thing I read (the clearest, I suppose) was in the Grow Fins box set, very interesting and informative.

these are variations on the 2 awesome instrumentals, "carrot is as close a rabbit gets to a diamond" and "Peon", leading into Bat chain puller. very awesome stuff indeed.

Wow, thanks for this. Recognisably Beefheart but different from anything else of his I've heard - much more peaceful somehow, more 'musical', almost jazz/modern classical - well, except "Owed t'Alex" which I know from "Shiny Beast". I love the images too.
