joke time: Nancy Pilosi & Barbara Boxer are walking down the street when Nancy shreeks Barbara! Is that your lover coming out of the Florist with a Bouqet of Flowers? Barbara whines "Yes Damit! Now I'll have to keep my legs up in the air for at least 3 whole days! Nancy says "Huh? Why don't you just use a Vase?"
Who would dislike this? Who's the slimy little communist shit, twinkle-toed cocksucker down here who would dislike this?!?! YOU HAD BEST UNFUCK YOURSELF OR I WILL UNSCREW YOUR HEAD AND SHIT DOWN YOUR NECK
Marines, Marines like yourself stand for everything that is good, clean and strong in America . A right way of living which embodies honor & discipline. Your life gives testimony to all that is right in our country. Some say we are becoming weak as a nation in mind and body; Sergeant, you have proven that supposition is bunk !
Mahalo nui loa from Hawaii Dakota & Semper Fidelis Leatherneck,
Gunny SGT Rodriguez, an immigrant from Mexico, and Capt Fabayo from Nigeria, I'm here to salute you fine Marines, and say you deserve the MoH just as much as the boy from Kantucay.
Correct. The SSgt (now GySgt) was awarded the Navy Cross. The Second Highest decoration. The officers in the CAOC should have been forced to apologize to those they did not believe and those they refused help. I cannot believe that was allowed to happen....
Dakota: "I was sitting there with 'another' Staff Sergeant"..wow..won't even mention his name?
Dakota: "WE" decided we should try to go in there and help out"
Narrator: "Risking 'HIS' life."
It goes from "we" decided, to 'his' decision. (the other person being Staff Sgt. Juan Rodriguez-Chavez... by the way) They both decided to go in and risk their lives but only one deserves the medal of honor? Sorry to hear that Chavez, I guess American immigrants only get the Navy Cross.
@hennessy323 so ur one of the those people who has to beat up americans b/c hes white. he made the decision and told the juam were going in it was his deceision, not both of thers listen again
Think about the following: If you decide that you want to kill someone and you ask me if I a willing to come with you to help out, and we both get caught killing this person, who do you think is less guilty? Its not about who decided to kill someone first, its about who took part in the crime.
Did Staff Sgt. Chavez have anything less to loose when he took the other half of the load when rescuing the stranded soldiers? better yet, could Dakota have done by himself? Answer: NO
@hennessy323 first hes a marine, so ya he could have, but yes he did ask for help, that word he so it was his decision, you make it seem as though chaves was the one who was mainly heroic, and if you recall dekota did go back a forth time on foot by himself to rescue others that had fallen, next what kill someone dakota had one thing on his mind to save his fellow marines, what if chaves said no he wouldn't have any medals
his words speak very highly in my opinion. that he's more concerned about people knowing who those men are, were, rather than "Ooo I got The Medal"... well done Sargent and Semper Fi brother.
@fizzbangboom09 yeah we are pretty badass.... *sergeant btw, not being a dick, i hate when people correct spelling on posts but you get the importance here. stay motivated killer
@BEARARMZ if you were a Marine, you would know every Marine honors, loves, and would proudly die for his country. We are definitely fighting for the country not banks and corporations.
i just dont understand why there are ppl in the world that barely do anything, get whatever they want in life, and are rich as can be and still hate life, they have nothing to hate. Whereas there are marines everywhere just like ssg meyer, who have escaped death by an inch for their brothers and for their country, and they still do hard work hard in life for their money. I mean this guy got the medal of honor, he doesnt want to be rich or famous.
@unemployedprodigy I know seriously! How can you DISLIKE this!?! This man Risked his life WITHOUT hesitation thinking first about his brothers in arms and acted to save them for the risk of his own life... People who dislike this have no heart and soul.
Is it possible if im from belgium to join the US marine Corps? i think its a silly question... but i really dont know that... can please someone answer me this??
@RestrepoXwow Yes, there are Marines from all over the world. Last I heard you need to have a green card to begin the process though. Call up the US embassy in your country and ask to speak with the Marine Corps detachment commander. There are legal restrictions on how much they can help you, but they should at least be able to point you in the right direction. Expect to spend 2 or 3 years on the whole process, minimum; good luck.
@RestrepoXwow Currently it takes around 9 to 15 months on average for a US citizen to ship to boot camp to begin training, from the moment they first speak with a recruiter. As a foreign citizen, the need for a green card is going to increase your time. Read more on green cards here: buzzle (dot) com/articles/how-long-does-it-take-to-get-a-green-card.html. It's not impossible though; if you're serious and really want to do it, plan well and then stick with it. It's not simply a job, it's a life.
Outstanding!
