I have gone through the whole process and everything was perfect until i restart the PC. I still get the loader screen which displays two options "Windows7" and "Ubuntu". It doesn't boot straight in to Windows7.. After all this I wanted to do the process again and I have noticed that in the EasyBCD window i can still see there are two entries Windows7 and Ubuntu.. Out of my curiosity I wanted to run Ubuntu and offcourse it didn't work.. What else should i do to completely get rid of Ubuntu ??
i need your help. i have windows 7 and ubuntu 11.10 at the same time but i want to uninstall ubuntu. since my windows 7 is corrupted i cant log into that and use easybcd. so how do i uninstall ubuntu and do a clean install for windows xp instead of windows 7? please reply asap
@rexdrop001 If I'm understanding you correctly, you just want to wipe your drive completely and install Windows XP. If that's the case, don't worry about uninstalling Ubuntu. Just insert your Windows XP disk and do a clean install. It will wipe out everything on your hard drive, including Win 7 & Ubuntu.
Hello sir, this video helped me so much. Now I have gotten rid of Ubuntu 11.10, and am back to Windows 7. However, when I deleted the Swap Drive, and the partition that had Ubuntu on it, as you instructed, I got 50 gigs of free space. But, when I right click on my Windows partition, it doesn't give me the option to expand/merge the drives. Help??
I need additional help to remove Ubuntu please...
I have EasyBCD installed. When I went to Computer Management, I realized that Ubuntu was not installed in a new partition on my C: drive. How can I identify the volume containing Ubuntu in Windows so I can isolate it in a partition?
I logged into Linux, I found the volume, but I am not sure how to create a partition from there either...
I’am very happy and very impressed. It worked like a champ. Very well explained and concise. I cannot afford losing my Win7-Pro by playing with Linux Grub; that’s why I removed the partition.
We are going to see more Linux/Ubuntu users using this program as Ubuntu’s new releases are full of bugs and it is unstable. I am a Linux/Ubuntu user and I love it; I am not moving away from it. I had installed in a special-dedicated hard drive.
Hi there.......when i open up the disk management i see 6 partitons........one is of 100mb which is system reserved....2nd is of my c drive......which is of 48 gb...third is d drive which is of 798 gb......4 th is of 107 gb in which ubunto is installed.......5 th is of 1.93 gb i dont know what it is..and the 6th partition is of 25 gb its written oem partition......now which partions i have to delete .....plz help me
If you just want to have windows startup automatically first with a Dual Boot PC without uninstalling Ubuntu ,download Startup-Manager from within Ubuntu and change your default operating system from within that program.
Thanks for the great video. I have one problem however. When I delete one of the partitions. It combine the swap area and all the other partitions into a big free space which is combine with the D drive (logical drive). THen when i rigth click on the free space there is no option to delete partition. Only to create new volume. When I try to creat a new volume it says not enough disk space. Can you help me with this thanks.
aww man, if i waited a little longer, this would have come up, but since i didn't, i removed ubuntu the wrong way and ruined my hard disk. i should have been more patient.
OMFG...THAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOU SO BLEEPEDY BLEEP BLEEP MUCH!! NO ONE ( and no disrespect meant to Nixie does Linux) has bothered to THOROUGHLY explain this process..I HATE the stupid " grub error..recovery " message I get when i wipe a storage drive clean that had any type of linux on it to use it for whatever ( with ONLY that storage drive connected as the storage drive to the motherboard).
@chronofusion Thanks! Yeah I've had problems cleanly removing Linux in the past. It's good to know that there is an easy way to remove it without adversely affecting the Windows installation.
Thanks alot, I've regained my partition. This video help
