I agree, Moira and D.B. were priceless, but TCE2 was just a bad next generation remake. (With awful continuity errors, like Jackie's age.) Honestly, Moira and D.B. should've reprised their roles and they should've mixed up the plot a little. (Perhaps Jackie as a female hockey star, training a male figure skater as a hockey player? Or just SOMEthing that would've made the story not a next generation knockoff. At least the third movie reversed roles.) But the original movie will always be golden.

That stunt was impossible. After he throws her for a split twist, the guy has is bound to face forward, this movie shows that he threw her on the front and in a split second his looking back to bend and take off for his triple toe. UNREALISTIC!!

Obviously the person who made this movie didn't know anything about figure skating!!! This movie is so fake. We don't skate in the dark, do triples after 3 months of practice, or dress up like pinatas, or qualify for nationals without competing at lower levels. The problem with The Cutting Edge 2 was that it tried to use the same plot, same jokes, and even the same lines from The Cutting Edge, which was an amazing movie. I love Christy, but I can't sit throuh this movie for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Okay this was the worst movie I ever saw. I'm a figure skater and I my blade sounds were never that loud and I was the one making the sound. And two, these shitty moves would have been laughed at. Worst movie ever.

Looks like a hollywood attempt at figure skating, which they shouldn't of done. I haven't seen either of The Cutting Edge versions, but this one look bad and fake.

I'll take a guess at the plot: they meet, love at first site, don't admit feelings, he turns out to be a horrible skater, they mess up somewhere, practice hard, have a fight, make up, all of a sudden he's a great skater, they turn out winning first in the competition and admit love. I guess the ending was just shown to me anyway.

It is not bad and fake! Every stunt they do except for the split in the air was all done by either Ross, Christy, or the two professional skaters( the pros did all of the flips and twists, but other than that, Ross and Christy did the rest!)

Are you kidding me! This was a really good movie and it looks really good! You obviously have not seen the bonus features because Christy Carlson Romano and Ross Thomas worked their butts off for 2 weeks, not knowing how to skate, to actually doing really well. All of the twists and flips were done by pros, but you have to give Christy and Ross credit for how well they can skate from just two weeks of practice!

Oh, you definitely need to see the original! It's such a classic. Moira Kelly is amazing and her chemistry with D.B. Sweeney is superb. The downside is that since you've seen this first, I'm not sure if you'll like the original as well, since the sequel tends to repeat not only the original plot, but the jokes and some lines as well. I really think TCE2 could've been much better if they'd mixed it up some...and had Moira and D.B. reprise their (flawless) original roles.
