I think you are right. I remember hearing about some tests performed by the army, and articulated wheeled trucks could duck walk out of marshes. Tanks are extremely heavy, sink fast, and the suction holds them in. Not even mentioning that trucks do not destroy paved roads.

absolutely bulshits, idiot, how you can an oshkosh with the oldest vehicle producer in the world, what started car and truck producing as the second company in whole history in whole world? How dare you compare patented aircooled Tatra engines, patented backbone tube conception with king frame system and independent halfaxels with some oshkosj shits??????
Tatra company (under name NW) was founded in the 1850 (so the oldest vehicle producer in the world), since the 1890s Tatra has started car and truck producing...
I would say it was awesome! Some of it is repeated in your other video, though. I really like how they explain how the axles work, the two pinions, and drive plates. I have been wondering how they do that for a long time now.
I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering that. After looking at a Pinzgauer differential(very simliar design), my guess is they either left it out of the animation for simpification, or it is a planetary design on one end. Pinzgauers have the spider gears right smack in the middle. The drive shaft appears to be in the middle and the pinions appear to be on hollow drive tubes in the case of the pinzi.
The Pinzgauer is drawn by the same designer: Hans Ledwinka worked his career intermittently at Tatra and Steyr (the maker of the Pinzgauer) and his son Erich Ledwinka worked at Steyr too.
In the witchhunt for collaborators with the Nazi's Hans Ledwinka was falsly prosecuted by the Commies. To stay out of trouble he worked in Austria at Steyr for years, and later worked for Tatra again as a consultant, next to his job at Steyr.

Will it not have uneven tire tread wear on road? Look at 1:13. the truck at 6:16 has that stance too.

I'm just wondering how they ever get the differential function, when both pinions for each wheel, are in the same axis...
This is truely a masterpiece of engineering, its ingenious but it doesnt use more crap than it needs, and it does the job reliably.

Dang, that sure accounts for the similarities. Then I'll bet that the animation just doesn't show the differential.
