you keep pronouncing "kyoto" wrong!! i'm not sure if british has such sound, but its KYO TOH. KYO as in .... i don't know how to say it, but not KO YO TO!!! lol.
If you haven't, you should go to Yokohama and go up the crazy fast elevator to the top in the Landmark Tower, 295,8 meters. Pretty cool view and on a fine day you can see Mount Fuji. I didn't see the mountain the day i was there but it was cool anyway.
Definitely worth doing, but if you went to any of the surrounding mountains on a clear day. You would of got a pretty good view of the place as well : )

hahaha I was wondering if someone was going to pick me up on that! I think I said it right after the 3rd time. I was kinda cringing at my pronunciation, but I wanted to keep the video clip...feel free to nit pick as you call it, as much as you like. Any comments/feedback are greatly appreciated...cheers mate : )
lol its funny you should say that. The thought crossed my mind when I was up in the tower & in the underground passageways, imagining what would happen. I don't think there would be many safe places in that city if an earthquake hit. Even out in the street you'd be trying to dodge building falling down at you.
My first visit to Kyoto was 1998. Then we went again January 2009. Love that city. We stayed at Hotel Granvia at Kyoto Station, and last year we stayed in a nice hotel near downtown. I bet it would be cool to stay at Tokyo Tower Hotel. I wonder if you get free rides to the top if you stay there?
Coolness mate, yeah its a beautiful city, so much to see...I think you would get free tickets for the tower staying at the Tokyo Tower Hotel, its a little more expensive than the Tokyo Tower Hotel 2.
dang...erased my comment by accident! great vid!!!

Cool views. It's weird how the size of cities doesn't really strike you sometimes until you get a view over the top.

Your right mate...the tower sure gave a good perspective of the vastness of the place : )
