I'm from southern Brazil where the whites are majority (80%) and I know there's discrimination and racism in Brazil. We grow up with the idea that blacks are criminals, that our social problems are caused by them. When I was a child I had one or two black classmates, when I was in College didnt have any. But racism ain't blatant as it is in the United States, it's disguised. White people mock blacks behind their backs, and if you ask them, they'll say they aren't racist at all.
