I,ve got a 1984 RX-7 GSL-SE With 12000/21000 miles/kms No I'm not kidding. Its been garage stored since 1988 and has never seen rain/snow. i would consider parting with it and i'm located in toronto. My email is woodgreenpark@gmail.com
The cabins of Rx7's tend to be hotter because of the heat given off of the transmission basically being practically IN the car. There is NOTHING like driving a rotary engine vehicle. If people can just get off of the whole "torque" subjects nuts for once and enjoy a car for what it is, there is no turning back after the first drive.
Crammage if they don't test time. why is in such great shape? Dumb ass. I have an 84 still original with 130k miles & that engine still in great shape. Rotary all the way... Is like any car if you change the oil when you're suppose to it will last for ever. The other hand the guy didn't know what he was looking at . He couldn't even find the hood knob.
Car was already running b4 I got to it in case you are pissy about that. And yes especially these older wankel engines where prone to burn oil when racking on mileage once the seals at the corners of the rotor gave way.
These had the option of power steering, a lot of people didn't get it because it would sap some power and they didn't want that. Can't drive this thing without A/C though, i had one with no A/C and i felt like i was going to go brain dead driving around in the summer.
@crammage Fueleconemy.gov may not have it correct. The wankle engine is quite capable of 25mpg.
In all honesty most vehicles are able to pump out more gas mileage than theyre shown to give...for example a pontiac g5 gets around 35 that when tuned correctly can get about 38...either way I wont kill myself on 23mpg highway with one of these, its not like itll be my year round car.
Not a big fan of the sound of these type of engines, sounds like a vacuum cleaner

Nice gslse. And no the were not produced from 79-85. The gslse was only 84-85 I believe.

@EvangelionFan yeah but gas mileage kinda sucks
crammage 5 months ago
@crammage eh 25mpg isnt too terrible. I love the piss out of these cars, And to be honest Ill choose a wankle over a piston engine in a heartbeat XD
Theyre tiny easy to work on and pump out mad hp. but Ill agree with you, its NOT an around town car.
EvangelionFan 5 months ago
@EvangelionFan i dont know how you get 25 on fueleconemy.gov it says it only gets 23 on the highway
a lincoln towncar with 4.6 v8 gets 25 highway 18 city
